They STINK!

They're either super early or super late for the most part. All the DTD stuff was easy to get, but there was hardly anything on park dinners.

I had to settle for my 4th choice for the Candlelight Processional package, couldn't get a fantasmic package (that wasn't a big deal.) I had to settle for an 8:40 seating for Ohana!

And Whispering Canyon only had a spot at 2:15 and then 7:45! I figure people are thinking like me and want to see the decorations at WL and then have dinner. Some things I had to completely switch around to get at all.

So if you are going the magical week in December that the Visa Free dining promo is for, make your ADRs NOW!!

Here's what I got:
12/14 Whispering Canyon 2:30 (we're going to MVMCP so I didn't bother with dinner)
12/15 Candlelight P --4pm Chefs de France (Nothing at Le Cellier (duh), Tutto, or Coral Reef! for the 2nd or 3rd sitting).
12/16 Wolfgang Puck 7pm (exactly what I wanted)
12/17 50s Prime Time 8pm (Fantasmic is at 7) No FDP at Mama melrose
12/18 Afternoon tea 3:20 & Ohana 8:40 only opening

So out of 6 ADRs only 1 was exactly what I wanted, I had to fiddle with everything else including the tea. Welcome to free dining under 180 days, I guess.

I was glad you were able to get more or less of what you wanted! We'll be down the same time. We are 12/14-12/20! I don't know how it worked for us but amazingly we were able to get exactly the ADR's we wanted and that was even cancelling one and making another! I did book them a few weeks ago though. Have a fun trip!

Did you get any hard stuff like Le Cellier or CRT or the CP packages? I know CRT is a joke, but it's my mom's first trip and I would have loved her to experience lunch in the castle.

I'm wondering if my touring plan is too close to everyone else's!!

I've never been around Christmas and I'm totally freaking out! I should have made my ADRs as soon as I booked.

You are right though, I did pretty much get what I wanted. I just had to do so much more manuvering than I did in August!

Hope you have a great trip too!!

I called last week and couldn't get LTT at all. CM said they were completely booked.

I did get Chef de France for 6pm on the 15th
1900 Park Fare @ 7:10pm 16th
Crystal palace for 8:20am on the 16th
Sci Fi @ 7:40 pm (earliest available) on 17th
PSB@ 9:45am (earliest available) on the 18th
Nine dragons @ 5:30 pm on the 18th
WCC @ 7:45pm (earliest available) 19th

I managed to get what I wanted but I had to tweak Tuesday and Friday. I wanted 1900 PF on Friday, oh well. And the times for those I wish I could have switched.

LTT is over-rated IMO, you aren't missing anything--those ADRs llok great!

I'm so excited about free dining in Dec. Made my ADR's this afternoon. We got 50's Prime Time at 2:00 on the 14th, Crystal Palace at 3:50 on the 15th, Boma at 5:05 on the 17th, and Chef Mickey's at 10:20 on the the 18th. Can hardly wait.:cool1:

Wow, we'll be there 12/13-12/22 and got just about all of our first choices... I did have to pick other days for a couple of ADRs that were just too late for us... stuff like 'Ohana - I can't stand being at Poly/CR/GF late enough that we have to take the bus to DTD and then back to our resort... those hotels have horrible bus service and I get so frustrated since it takes so long. Otherwise I would've been happy with everything I was offered on the first try.

Hey, here's what we got:

9/14-Yachtsman @ 7:00
9/15-Park Fare breakfast @ 10:30 a.m.
9/16-Biergarten @ 4:00
9/17-Yak&Yeti @ 4:00
9/18-Maya Grill @ 6:00 p.m.

We like to eat dinner a little ealier than most people so maybe that's why we got what we wanted. Also of course we didn't try and get LeCellier or CRT(WE LOVE BOTH) because we've eaten at those before and really wanted to try new places. (My goal is stay at every Disney Resort and eat at every Disney restuarant) :rotfl: I was happy to be able to get Park Fare and Biergarten though. Now, if we can get into T-Rex on 9/18 that would just be the ultimate!

OHHH I never thought about transportation that late! Well, I don't mind going to DTD Tuesday night but Friday night I guess we will get a Taxi. I am NOT doing all that; $20 will be well worth it.

To the PP,Harley, yes I agree it is overrated, I have been to LTT and we enjoy it. LTT is homey for us compared to the other restaurants. WE love being there for that and we wanted to get in one last time before it changed over. We weren't too upset. ;) Thanks for your input. I was worried about my choices. Never been to Chef de France.

Crud, I didn't think of that. We did that at CR one trip and it was a nightmare!

I understand (I was really just trying to make you feel better! I quite liked LTT. lol)

Chefs was one of my favorite meals on my August trip. My DH loved it too.

I made these reservations at 180 days out and I still could not get a fantasmic package in DHS and the Garden Grill was the only thing left for dinner the night we planned to attend the CP.

Wow! I got really lucky!!

Hi-
I called this morning and got dinner at 4pm for a party of six on Dec. 18th - nothing was available yesterday. So, don't give up or not try for CRT!!! (We only booked our vacation last week...)

We are going to be there that week too. Here is my list.

12/14 Whispering Canyon 6:50pm
12/15 Le Cellier CandlelightPackage 2:10pm
12/16 Tusker House 8:40am

12/18 50's Primetime 5:15pm

Some of these might change if we don't bring my daughter. This is our 10th Anniversary trip and I want to leave her with Nana and Bumpa. My dh says she should come.

still calling back everyday to try and get le cellier for any of our nights, looks like i'm not alone on that. :)

When I read your list I thought itseems as if we are eating in some of the same parks on the same day. I will look for you if we are there. It depends when I can get our flights for. I am waiting for a ding fair. I really want to put a lime mickey head on my bag but my dh has trust/privacy issues so I don't think I will as I don't want to stress him out on vacation.;)

I'm starting to think we need to have a meet.

Maybe i'll try for CRT again. :)

I noticed this thread last night and realized I better get off my butt and get our ADRs done. We're a party of 9 traveling with a my friend in a power wheelchair so I was afraid we might not be able to get many of his choices, he likes the breakfast buffets, but the CM came through this morning.
:)

12/15 Chefs de France 5:10pm
12/16 1900 Park Fare 8:00am
12/17 Hollywood and Vine 12:10pm
12/18 Tusker House 1:25pm

I have had the majority of my ADR's since 180 days out. I have done a minor tweak or two thanks to the CP package announcement and narrator changes. I am not going to be squeezing every last FD dime out of this, but I am happy with what I have planned.

I will be traveling with my partner and my MIL. MIL needs a scheduled dining experience and lunch works better for her than dinner, since we are pretty sure stamina-wise that she can hang with us in the parks through lunchtime. Dinner, well, that is something that we are going to play completely by ear. She has CHF, Diabetes, Emphysema, and is in the early stage of renal disease, so feeding her has it's own challenges.
