I also took the survey and pointed out to them that dh has a Marriott card. He can get 1% on all purchases when he uses it but when he uses his card at a Marriott, he gets 3% on the Marriott purchases. Disney should "reward" its cardholders when they use the Disney card for Disney purchases and give more than 1%.
I filled mine out also, and I let them know how I feel. I really hope they pay attention to all our complaints and do something about it. We are not asking for much, just what was told to us in the beginning.
I got the survey, too. I filled it out honestly, but I didn't see anyplace for comments, only multiple choice. I would have liked to ask them if all the benefits listed were currently available. 'Cause if they are I'd like to take advantage of them. I don't think I've ever received a Disney Visa newsletter/magazine that they mentioned. And what about those ticket discounts? I'm sure if they were currently available, I would have read it on here somewhere.
They didn't send them to everyone, just a sampling of cardholders. DH got one, even though he has only had a card in his name for a month. I've had the card for 2 years, and didn't get a survey. I just filled his out with my opinions.
Well I never got any of the double rewards promotions offered to me and I also haven't received the survey. All of the free movies screenings are in NYC and we are in NJ. There are none in NJ. It doesn't pay to pay for tolls, parking just to see a "free" movie.
If they add an annual fee to the card consider it dumped.
I charge everyting to my Disney visa and I pay off my balance every month so it would be hard for me to justify paying an annual fee of 30 or 50 bucks for a card when their is other options as a USAA Master card @ 3.9% in case I ever do need to carry a balance.
As my buddy the CPA always tells people "you don't spend money to save money".
I would put that annual fee money in the bank and cancel the Disney visa in a second.
Bank One is making a ton of money off of us Disney Visa users and if they are insane enough to want to take away the one perk (and only perk for me) of using their card they can forget about getting another dime from this ole' boy.
Any rewards programs that is charging you money is making money.
I received the survey and told them basically the same thing that everyone else has mentioned. I was one of the "lucky" ones and received $100 Disney Dollars for signing up for the card and booking a Disney vacation.
I have noticed that I'm just starting to received my 2% bonus rewards during the last billing cycle. I also use mine for nearly everything and pay it off once a month.
An annual fee would cause me to cancel my card without a second thought.
Anastasia, thanks for the great idea! Like your original situation, my husband is a secondary cardholder on my Visa card, but I hadn't thought of him re-applying in his name when a good reward comes. That's super!
I just read the small print at the end of the email and it said in part:
"The survey is being conducted on behalf of Disney by TideWatch Partners, LLC, an independent marketing research firm. If you have any trouble with the survey website, please email disneyvisa@tidewatchpartners.com"
So Disney is wanting this info instead of Chase/Bank One. I'm wondering if they see a lot of unhappy people they'll discontinue the affiliation instead of beefing up the perks. Let's hope they'll improve the benefits they offer!
I have no problems with my Disney Visa. I did not get it for "perks" they are just that "perks."
I have however, switched a Citibank Dividends card for Grocery and Gas because it gives 5% on those instead of the 1% that the Disney Visa gives. Money from both the Disney Visa and the Dividends card both go towards Disney Trips.

I got the card when it first came out, and I don't remember any incentives or rewards other than getting "charter cardmember" stamped in the corner. I would LOVE to be given $50 in reward points for joining! How about 50 "thank you" points for trusting in the Disney name enough to switch over to their Visa card from the beginning?
Even though I'm doing away with my credit cards, I also got the survey and told them this very thing. I doubt they'll do it since I signed up under the original agreement. I will get some small satisfaction out of not giving them any more of my money. I'll save the interest payments I had been making to give myself my own Disney Reward.
I was offered a 50.00 reward for signing up for the card, but I never received it. When I called almost 2 months later, they just said they would research what offered at the time I applied. I told them it was a direct link so I'm sure I responded to the correct one, but they would not budge and just said they would research it. That was a couple of weeks ago and I have heard nothing.
