Hi!

I'm just wondering if anyone has ever gone to a TS restaurant and just had dessert? Is it even acceptable in WDW?

There are places we'd like to visit, but not for the food! So I was just wondering if anyone's actually done it.

Thanks!
:flower3:

I had this question some years back....Is it a servers dream? No, but I was told by Disney Dining Reservations that you could order whatever you like!

I was going to Sci Fi after Fantasmic and wanted to get shakes and fries. I did, and it was not a problem!

If you do not want to feel awkward, maybe choose times that are off peak.

Enjoy:flower3:

1) We have done it, as have many others.
2) No problem.
3) Just make the ADR as normal.
4) When you are there, simply order coffee, dessert, etc.

Wonderful!! Thanks to both of you so much! I've been agonizing over this...which I know is stupid, but it's our year to explore places we've never seen...and a whole lot of those are restaurants. If I'm going to eat a $150.00+ meal, I want to know it's going to be good!

Thank you, thank you!! :flower3::flower3:

This is what I did for WCC. DD desperately wants to eat there although there is not too much on the menu that appeals to either of us. I booked a very late lunch ADR so we can get dessert and 2 of those Tinkerbelle mugs. I did so on the advice of the kind, experienced DISers here who have done it before. :goodvibes

:goodvibes Don't you just love the Dis when it comes to stuff like this?
And thank you, this is exactly what we're going to do.

I LOVE the planning stage! :cutie:

Yep I did it.

Made lunch adrs for just dessert at Brown Derby in March of 09. Was for my 40th bday. I wanted the grapefruit cake. It was wonderful! Server was so nice and polite, even brought me a second dessert for free, along with a card signed by everyone.

Definitely go and enjoy yourself.

DD and I went there for dessert too. We just wanted to have the experience of being there. We walked in around 1:00 and asked if we could just have dessert. The hostess asked someone else and it was fine. The dessert was great and we left a generous trip.

:goodvibes Brown Derby is my favorite place to go for dessert only meals. I usually go in the afternoon when it is hot outside and quiet and cool inside. Order a glass of wine and the white chocolate bannana torte- YUM, And soak in the atmosphere of one of WDW's best restaurants. I to tip well and have never had a problem or felt uncomfortable ordering just an appetizer or a dessert at any of the restaurants in WDW. With all of the amazing and super filling food there it proubably happens more often than you think. Hope you have a great trip!

I little off topic, but have you tried the Kitchen Sink at Beaches and Cream.

This is a full on meal, and it took four of us to finish it. But great fun, and very tasty.
