JUST DANCE.... someone make me SIT DOWN!!

I had been reading this thread and was going to buy it.. and then just got picked for the "Just Dance" Wii Bzzz campaign. WooHoo.. Free and fun.. right up my alley:cool1:

Doh! Wish I had gotten chosen for that! I hadn't updated my technology survey since we got the wii. Maybe next time!

considering this game as family fun and to keep kids off the couch. has anybody actually noticed a weight loss with regular use? I didn't take the time to read the thread. I just heard it is a really fun game

I'm doing this AND Wii Fit and watching my diet. I've lost about 7 pounds in 2 weeks. Best part is I have so much ENERGY now, enough to keep up with my 17yo boy! Did I mention I'm 53 years old? :rotfl:

I have a SEDENTARY life and work in an office and at home at a computer 12 hours a day. This is my way of getting UP and getting some exercise! The girls in my office laugh when I do the moves, I can beat some of them that are half my age! I tell you, it is soooo good to feel "spry" again!

Received my copy yesterday and my DD's (6, 8 and 16 (she finally participated after while) and I had fun for about an hour. I love eye of the tiger and my littlest loves who let the dogs out and she beat us all on that one.

This is a game that I think will get alot of use.

Okay, WHO SUGGESTED COTTON EYE JOE???? If anyone can catch me on camera doing that hokey dance you can make $10,000 for SURE!!! :rotfl2::laughing:

Have not weighed myself but today when I put on the fresh out of the dryer jeans they slid right on! No holding breath! So that's a plus!

I am having a hard time getting a good score on songs that have lots of high arm movements (like Heart of Glass). Do you think it's the wii sensor not picking up that high?:confused3

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who posted on this thread.

We bought this for my 7yo dd who is overweight, about 10 days ago. She has used this every single day for at least 30 minutes.

We have tried a lot with her, and feel cruel making her "exercise" every day... with this she exercises without even knowing it. We are already noticing a difference in how her pants fit.

Although, if I hear Womanizer or Cotton Eyed Joe one more time I may loose it! LOL

That's awesome! So far we have only tried it once (I had disc surgery a month ago) and my 4 yo DD LOVED it. After 3 songs I was sweating up a storm! I am hoping to play it tomorrow and a few times over the weekend.

I went out and bought this game this evening! DD and I played for well over an hour tonight and I know I am going to feel it tomorrow...but we LOVED it!

DH was giggling in the back ground and I went on to Facebook and found this quote "watching the girls play Wii Just Dance. I guess I do not need to watch the comedy channel tonight!" I know he will be playing this game when no one is around!

The price is down to $29.99 on Amazon. I went ahead and ordered it. :)

Ok, to whoever started this thread and convinced me to buy this game, all I have to say to you is "OUCH!!!!!! Please send liniment."

I saw a wireless nunchuck at Target yesterday....that would come in handy for this game because when you have it hooked to the Wiimote it's too hard to get those long arm movements right. I wish they 'd make some kind of gloves to put on so you didn't have to hold the Wiimote and Nunchuck.....I find myself holding it wrong sometimes and it really messes with the score.

We like Cotton Eye Joe and Womanizer, my oldest dd likes the Elvis song oh and I like that wierd song that had no words and the dancer looks like some kind of rain dancer LOL

um, I don't think you're supposed to use the remote AND nunchuck, just the remote... :confused3

I second the PP ~ You're not supposed to use the nunchuck at all.

But I agree that sometimes my WiiMote gets twisted & turned because I'm not holding it right....it does mess with my score.

Anyone care to share your high scores & on which songs?
We have a few in the upper 19,000 range (can't remember the exact # since I'm at work)- but we haven't hit 20k at all . Wanna Be is our highest

Just got my game on Monday. My 9 year old is very upset because I keep winning but I know almost all the songs. When we finally put on a song I didn't know he won. I really think it makes a difference when you know the words and beats to a song.

I kept getting the giggles thinking about all these little kids growing up, going out to a club on "Retro" night and doing the dance moves to these songs that they learned from their Wii. :lmao:

Okay...so DH and I went out last night to a local club for 80's night and when "Can't Touch This" came on...we were laughing hysterically and doing the moves from the game! WE are such nerds!!!!:rotfl2:
