I've been retired for 6 years now I was a U.S. Probation Officer with the Federal Court in Baltimore.
I'm currently working part-time in a local veterinary hospital.

Mrs U is a secretary in the Legal Dept. of McCormick & Company (the Spice folks).

I have really enjoyed reading all this. Interesting backgrounds.

As for me, I am self employed, a partner in my dads business. We are both licensed building contractors. Lots of hands on carpentry, cabinet building, etc. My DW is a SAHM who homeschools our 2 kids. Like one post before said, she works harder now than she did at the accounting firm, but doesnt get paid for it. But the rewards are there.

DW is Athletic Director's secretary and receptionist at the high school where I teach English. I also teach grad school to other teachers part time. Four more years....retirement to most likely another career(s) in central FL. The other careers are most likely, the retirement is definite.

Good luck to your DH! I started with GM, then Ford. I then got spun-off to Visteon, then to ACH, now I am back with Ford. All the while doing basically the same thing and not having much of a choice with the changes.

Oh, well. At least I still get to go to WDW!!

We are both middle school teachers (DH - 6th grade science, I am 7th lang. arts). I have taught 24 yrs. and DH 8 yrs. Both of us graduated from The Ohio State University. It is fun to have some free time in the summer to visit Disney!!
