Just curious, What is your occupation?

I'm an auditor for an insurance company in upstate New York and my husband co-owns a water well drilling business.

I work for an Asset Management firm in NYC; my husband is a Network Administrator. But our life's work is being Mom and Dad to 2 of the best little girls in the world.

I work in marketing for a university's branch campus division. DH is self-employed as a general contractor/licensed builder.

Like i said, just curious. I am a golf professional but seriously considering other avenues.

I own a construction co. we design, engineer, install, test and service automatic fire protection systems in commercial and residential buildings.

We have been self employed for 28 years. I do all the bookkeeping. DH is retired, Sons have taken over now. ;)

I am a Senior Quality Engineer for a Biotech company and the DW is a retail pharmacist

Glad everyone is having fun with this thread! Like I said, I am a golf professional at a private country club, but I failed to inform that my wife teaches elementary children in a "gifted" program. As stated, I am looking for a new profession. Golf pro not as great as it sounds. I have a pharm rep job offer. Don't know what to do. I was hoping to come across someone in that field to do some Q & A. Thanks.

This is a great thread!

I am in bookkeeping/purchasing/customer service for an air cleaning company and DH is a millwright for Mack Trucks in Macungie, PA.

I am a Staff Engineer for a well-known aircraft engine company. DW is a Stay at Home Wonder Mom for our 3 kids.

I was also a Golf Pro at a Private Country Club about 5 yrs ago. I wish I had made the job change ealier in my career. Golf was fun and great but I could not start a family with 6- 7 days a week and very little pay. Now working in Sales for Atlanta's largest Beer Dist. It is a dream job. OP make the jump into something new you will love it. I miss the club and the members but I have so much more time for my family. Good Luck!!!!

I know what you mean. The 6 days a week (weekends and holidays) gets old. The money is actually pretty good (six figures +++), but I would love a 9-5 job with weekends and holidays off, not to mention it is very difficult to take a vacation because I run a (virtually) one man show. I own the pro shop and my lesson book stays full so it is tuff to get away. Don't need pity though, it could be worse!

Not to many of those jobs left in the golf world. That is nice that you own the shop. I worked for 3 large golf Corp. and we were just a number to them. Oh well I had a great time when I was younger. Get into sales and teach on the side I still do.

DH & I are both educators. He is a high school band director and I am an elementary school guidance counselor. No DVC trips for us during adventure season:teacher:

I'm starting my seventh year as a SAHM. DH is a sr. systems architect for the company that puts out the Disney Visa card.

I am an accounts receivable analyst for a major medical company and my DH drives for UPS.

Statistician for an Insurance Company. I also have a side job teaching statistical programming at The University of Alabama.
