I always specify "Not a Handicapped Room" when I make my reservations. On one of my trips they misread it but took care of it when I verified it at check-in. Also, if you get a wait list make sure you contact MS to put the request on the new room as the request doesn't carry over. This happened to me at BWV a couple of years ago. When the manager researched the reservation they found out about my original request. That room was really strange. We had to use it for one night as there was nothing else available until the next day. I don't know how a handicapped individual could use that room though. The bathroom door was one of those sliding doors, but it was almost too heavy for me to move, I don't see how a weak person would have been able to slide it. If you make the request you should verify it again at check-in. I always do.
