I had no idea how bad the crowds were going to be! Things were fine on Wed-Fri, but by Saturday -- all the parks were so busy!!!
All that in mind, we had a great experience with FP+. We had no glitches or bugs, we managed to change easily during the day, and with a bit of planning, we saw everything we wanted.
The longest wait we had was for Test Track single rider line (40 minutes).
I know there are a million people complaining about FP+ but it was SO NICE to not have to arrive at Epcot at rope drop and dash to Soarin' to try to get a FP for 9pm at night.
I am happy with the new system.
So don't listen to all the naysayers. If you go to Disney because you enjoy the experience, then enjoy all the things that are off the beaten path too. Get your 3 FP's and then experience other stuff. For us, we did all sorts of things we don't normally do...we went to Planet Watch in AK, did the drawing class in DHS, spent time in Innoventions at Epcot...found a quiet nook in MK by the Cheshire cat and watched all the characters come in and out of the back gate area.
Had an absolute blast - and wrote about it all on my blog
