Just called my guide..

I received a new guide after my old one left and for interest in not having to deal with my new one that much how does the process work with this? Do you put a deposit down and then they charge you the rest upon the points coming available? We have been looking for 25-75 points at BLT and AKV for a while on resale with our August UY but never see any or when I do they are already sale pending so I am thinking maybe going this way for BLT so just want to know how the process works. Thanks for the help!

I added on direct twice about 18 months ago. Don't know if it's changed since then, but...

No deposit. They take your credit card number. You tell them how many points, which resort and UY. You may or may not have to go on a wait list.

When your points are ready for you, they will charge your credit card. You may or may not get a call from your guide before or after this happens. One time he called us the day the points loaded; the second time I only found out when I looked on line and saw I had a new contract.

We are getting direct and we have been on a waiting list . but we do have a deposit they took our acct # and when the points come in then we will be charged. I believe thats how it goes now anyway

Curious and I have ADDONITS right now. I have 160 pts at SSR that i paid $99/point for. If i wanted to add on does anyone know what price they are selling at? Are all resorts priced differently? Because i see now VGF are $145 and AKV are the same(i think). I guess i need to call my guide. I now the PPT has gone up on the new resorts just wondering with all of you on the waitlist what the ppt was.

Resale is the way to go for a lot of people for a lot of reasons (like PRICE!).

We had gotten ROFR'd on two VGC contracts within a couple of months, and our direct wait lists came through after that. So we did two smallish add ons at VGC direct.

Kept looking resale and were finally successful early this year with another VGC add on.

Based on recent results, SSR is a resort that is more likely to pass ROFR right now. Given the immediate depreciation in the cash value of your purchase, I don't see any reason to purchase SSR direct.

My guide called me today and we were on the waiting list since I think March for 100 points at BCV with a Dec UY and they just came through at $115/point.
