Just bought YES tickets for October!!!

Does anyone know how many they allow in a class and how quickly they fill up? We've got trips set for June and again in September and I want to get the tickets but I'm kind of afraid to this far out. I wish there was some kind of "emergency" refund policy. We don't plan to cancel but I worry about those last minute things that could (but probably won't) come up.

AHHH...I bought our tix! I couldn't pass up the $334 savings... and I was even able to get park hoppers which we weren't going to do :cool1: And the class is only 2.5 hrs.

From past experience, you must be a registered parent/guardian to attend the classes with your child. Also, parents/guardians (in addition to students) must pay to attend classes via YES registration.

Isn't the cost of 1 class included with the ticket purchase through the program?

please bear with me ... totally new to this YES program and I can't get the search to work ;)

We will be vacationing with our 3 youngest, so 5 of us on this trip. Can we sign up all 3 kids and both adults for one class? And get 5 day hoppers for all 5 of us at the program price? Does each child need a chaperone or can my DH and I chaperone all three kids? I think my kids would love to take a class at Disney World! :thumbsup2

Thanks so much to the OP-- I have been watching obsessively!! I booked our tickets as soon as I got home from work today.

I got all 5 of us-- 3 kids and 2 adults into classes on the same date at the same time in the same park. (Epcot: Synergy in Science and Marine Careers.) AND we saved a good $600 in the bargain.

I can't wait for this to all happen.

On the subject of "nonrefundable": As soon as I booked our nonrefundable airfare, I went to www.accessamerica.com and booked travel insurance for both non-refundable portions of our trip: the flights and YES tickets.

Thanks for the travel insurance site. I will check it out.

Just booked also. Was unable to find a class for my youngest but got my daughters into the same class but different 2 different age groups. I read at 13 they do not need a chaperone so I am sending her alone and I will attend with my 8yo. They are doing the Disney's Animation Magic class in August. This way dh can stay with our youngest.

Darn! Hope they still have classes in October open when our 2012-2013 school calendar is announced within the next couple of months. Can't make definitive plans until I know when DD gets her fall break.

Call the district office and ask. Even if the whole calendar isn't done yet, the vacations probably are.

I just checked out that website. We're driving so the only non refundable things on our trip are the townhouse and these tix ($1200 total). It was only $74 for all 4 of us! Thanks for posting this!!!

Will the YES discounted park tickets be sent USPS? Or do they have to be picked up at guest services? Has anyone gotten them recently? TIA!

This is what my email confirmation says:
Your tickets may be picked up beginning on 10-07-2012 at the following locations: Epcot®, Disney's Hollywood Studios™, Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park or the Ticket and Transportation Center at the Magic Kingdom® Park.
Upon arrival you can pick up your Will Call ticket order by presenting your confirmation number, along with your valid photo ID.

So glad people are able to take advantage of this! I am hoping Disney will continue to offer this great opportunity!

When we did this last year, we had our tickets sent to the house (our choice) but we could have gotten them at Will Call.

The tickets are non-refundable, and can only be used for a specific period of time (right around when your class meets). You need to be very certain of travel dates before buying the tickets.

Enjoy your trips - I wish we were heading back this year, but DH wanted a year off from Disney. Maybe next year.... :)

What's the youngest age that's accepted for classes? If there's a toddler in the family can they participate even if they're not old enough for a ticket? By participate, I guess I mean tagging along with the class/group. Our Jacob is 4 1/2 and his little sister just turned 2. I'm thinking we could send one adult with Jake and the rest of us keep Ava entertained but I'd love it if we could stick together.

2 year old cannot attend.
only 1 adult will be able to attend with child(ren)

Age 5 is the youngest for a class, but that class is only offered during certain times.
