We just brought home our first RV yesterday. We bought a 26' 2006 Fleetwood Mallard travel trailer. We did the usual stayed in it last night in the front yard :) . Can't wait untill we get to go to FW. We looked online to try and get a campsite for Labor Day weekend but they seem to be all booked up. So I guess we will try the Thousand Trails resort in Orlando for that weekend since that would be free with our purchase of the trailer.

Can't wait to get to FW, I started the mickey light post for our campsite today also.

Congratulations!!!! :thumbsup2

If you really want FW for the holiday, you could keep checking the reservations website. :surfweb: I have found that very early in the morning sometimes cancellations show up. Since you live close by, I would also look months ahead on the calendar and see when you might want to go, and make the reservations early! If you do it by phone, then I believe you can cancel up to within 5 days of the trip at no cost.

Since we are close by too, I usually have at least one reservation made for a long weekend somewhere in the not too distant future. It just gives me that warm feeling, ya know!!!!

Just got around to some pictures of the new travel trailer!!!!!

The thousand trails campground is in Clermont which is not far at all from WDW I would say about 15min it is off of US27. We bought our TT at Lazy Days RV in Seffner,Fl ( close to Tampa) and we get a free 90 days membership to thousand trails and our first stay they call our orientation stay is for 3 nights which is free of charge.

Great looking camper and a gorgeous rainbow...Ours is 26 ft. as well and I LOVE IT!!! We too did the camp in the yard...I guess it is a must with all TT owners..LOL I hope you have an awesome time with it!!!

When we bought our new camper from Suncoast RV, we also got the free stay at Thousand Trails....It was definetly more of a pain then anyhting else...You have to sit through a long presentation about buying a lot there and they are some of the pushiest people in the world...

It is actually a good distance from WDW, especially fighting the traffice on the West Gate Side....the only place we stay is FW and highly don't recommend camping at the 1000 trails...Trust me on this!!!!

And Gratz on the new Camper!
