Just bought DVC!!!

Welcome to your new AKV home. There's something "magical" when you sit on your balcony drinking your coffee and watching the giraffe and zebra cavort.

ditto to above!! We bought direct from Disney 6 years ago and absolutely LOVE our "home" (AKV). We have stayed at other DVC resorts (BCV, OKW, BLT, Aulani) and like them but nothing beats AKV for us. To us it is worth the longer bus rides being away from the hustle and bustle of the parks after a long day.

I have heard that the cruise ships offer the best incentives!

Another really nice thing about buying on board was getting to particitpate in the members only gifts! They gave DVC exclusive gifts every night(prints and pins and wrist bands etc), they even gave us the gifts we had missed in the first few nights!
