Just bought BLT...

now what?

We went with the current DP incentive for 160+ pts to have 3 nights in any 1bedroom DVC by 10/9/08 at 7 months-
so now the dilemma becomes when do we go and where to try to stay? We haven't stayed in any DVC yet...
Does anyone have experience with crowds/availability at the end of June (but before the 4th of july)? What about memorial day weekend? - our timing is limited because I'm a teacher...Any thoughts?

We are teachers too. We usually go down in the summer. We haven't had a problem booking our rooms at AKV. We just bought an add-on at BLT as well.

My best advice is you know when you have off. Plan your trip around those dates well in advance and use the 11 month window to your advantage. We have booked Concierge level rooms and have not had a problem since we knew exactly when we were going.

when is your spring break - can you get off the 3 days for the spring break?

if yes then BCV or BWV - now if you go March 18 or later - spring break can also be flower/garden festavial at Epcot.

it is definitely worth it to go then.

now if your spring break doesn't fall then - would still say BCV or BWV - because of walking to Epcot or Studios - but would add VWL to boat to the MK.

Summertime is beautiful (particularly the pools & *ahem* bars ) - just take it easy, take advantage of the AC in the stores if you're in the parks, and drink lots of water all day long.

If you can book anywhere ... I suggest trying BW (great at night and you have to try the BW bakery 1st thing in the morning!) or WL (cooler atmosphere with the trees all around and the open air boat to MK takign you right by BLT)
