I just decided to book a last minute 4th of July sure-to-be-wicked-hot-and-crowded-weekend trip yesterday. Surprisingly rooms were still available at Shades of Green (SOG) and we were able to snag 2.
I've never been in July with kids and we'll have 3 in our party. My DD4, and nephews 4 and 9 are going. My mom, sister and I will be the adults for a total of 6 people.
This trip philosophy is "relax this is for fun, we don't have to do everything". But you know us planners, can't just leave it at that.
We'll be traveling on Saturday and will probably just "pool it" at SOG when we get there. We might go to Universal as DSis has freebies since her BIL works there. I've already made ADRs at Park Fare for that evening.
This was a last minute trip and we're going again in January and then again next summer for longer trips.
Any suggestions for parks for Sunday, July 2 and Monday, July 3? We're most interested in MK, then AK and MGM in that order. Don't have to do all 3, but definitely want to do 2. We did Epcot a good bit the last time we were there, so it's not a (Gasp) absolute necessity given our short, short trip.
FYI...I panicked and called to make some ADRs but we will change them if need be for best park strategy. Other than Park Fare, they are LTT at MK Monday evening at 6PM, Le Cellier at 5:00 Tuesday (I know, we probably won't be going to Epcot, but I couldn't resist--most likely will have to cancel
) and Ohana's on Tuesday the 4th for Breakfast. We're just interested in 1 TS a day, we'll do CS for other meals. We're not on the dining plan given the SOG stay.
Any 4th of July experts out there with suggestions for park strategy for Sunday and Monday with 2-4 year olds and a 9 year old???
P.S. Everyone has been to Disney.
