Spring break Magic!!! 5 night. Im so excited to take my family. We booked a Family Concierge room. What do I need to know? Tips, tricks? Anything!! Perks of Concierge we cant miss out on? Thanks! Ill be reading this board now for 9 months!!!

Yay! Have so much fun! There have been many posts about sailing in Concierge, so I would start there, and I am sure others will chime in. DCL is awesome!

As for Concierge perks, I always look forward to, in order in which you will encounter them :

- Getting the list of possible rotations in order to request the one we want. They send you a grid with the days, the theme or dress code and the three possibilities;
- Getting the exact departure times of the excursions I want to book in advance so I can plan our days around them;
- Booking a cabana at CC, Palo brunch and excursions on day 125 at midnight (with a programmed email);
- Checking in at the Concierge desk both at MCO (for the bus) and the terminal;
- Boarding first once the ship is cleared around 11:30;
- Concierge embarkation lunch, with the lobster salad;
- Meeting the hosts while enjoying an embarkation cocktail (or wine, or beer) in the lounge;
- Happy hour everyday from 5PM to 10PM;
- Going to the lounge at anytime to grab a bite, a bottle of water, a specialty coffee or a can of soda;
- Private functions in the lounge, like character meets or concerts;
- Relaxing on the private sundeck, with provided sunscreen;
- Handling all requests and modifications with the hosts;
- Getting a lithograph and sometimes a gift for our son on the next-to-last day;
- Priority disembarkation, with a chartered elevator and front-of-the-line access;

You can add to those all the unexpected little things they make happen. For example, on our last cruise, the executive chef, from a French territory, came to inspect the lounge buffet while we were there. Our son, who speaks French, talked with him about escargots, the Pirate menu and other things. A few days later, he received a signed copy of the DCL cookbook, an honorary chef certificate, a chef’s hat and the escargot recipe.
