Just booked Nov Trip and....

im losing my mind trying to get ADRs for this last minute trip for 13 people....anyone have any tips, tricks, etc? i cant get a character dinner for nothing...im losing sleep over it since i have first timers in my party...the pressures on! hellllppppp!!!!!!!!!!!

What are your dates? What are you trying to book? Give us some details. Getting ADRs for 13 people is going to be next to impossible at this point without breaking up the group at one place or else splitting up the group to different restaurants at the various mealtimes. Take whatever you can get now, using the online system, and keep trying over the next two months for the places you really want. If you were 2-4 people, you wouldn't have a problem. 13? Yeah, that number isn't doing you any favors on a lot of levels.

Last year I booked our vacation in June for Aug. during free dining. I was having a hard time getting the restaurants I wanted for dinner so we had a late lunch instead. I was even able to get LeCellier that way. Also, about a week before our dates Disney released more time slots at a few places - Chef Mickeys, Crystal Palace and Cape May Cafe were all released. I was never able to get O'hana but other then that we were very happy. Good luck.

Break up the party into smaller groups. I would call b/c the online system is going to think you are trying to double book. A CM may be able to stagger the times for smaller parties for you (maybe 4 ppl at 1:30, 4 ppl at 1:45, and 5 ppl at 2pm, for example).

This is great advice! Dates, etc won't help a lot because the online system isn't really set up to book more than 10.

If you're staying onsite have you thought about becoming a Grand Gathering? I believe that Grand Gatherings have another avenue to go through to make dining reservations.

D'oh! that's right - Grand Gatherings are a thing of the past. Sorry about the misinformation.

Another suggestion, subscribe to the November cancelled ADR thread and see if you can start picking up one or two reservations here and there (be sure to read the first post before posting to the thread - mostly the part about wanted information)

Another thought, if CMs aren't being helpful, I'd call back and try again. They can't create availability where there isn't any, but a good one will work with you to help you find something that you can use.

I do agree with others that it may help to split into a few groups to get the reservations that you need. Make sure that each reservation has a different 'main' name so you don't get auto cancelled or not allowed to make the reservation becuase you're double booked.

Just looked at your dates - for your first day there there is Princess Norway and Crystal Palace both available for a party of 13. I searched "Dinner" "Date" and party size of "13"

Crystal Palace is actually available all of your dates of travel. So hopefully one of the times it's available works for your group!

Grand Gatherings are still availabe until JANUARY 2012, so OP could still use that avenue.

As other pp have mentioned, I would call Disney Dining and have them help you with such a large group. Good luck.
