Just booked for my 24 hour leap day challenge

I'm so jealous! I want to go, but I have no one to go with. I thought about making it a mother/son trip, but he's only 9. No way he's gonna last! Airfare isn't too bad from up in Nor cal, but the logistics and paying a hotel room for ONE person just seems like a waste. *sadface* I thought about looking for a roommate but I know that can be pretty risky. :/

We are heading back in ONE WEEK! So.... I guess I'll have to be set with that. LoL But I"ll be watching for all the updates and excitement!

I think we might know each other, from a few years ago in real-time, in the Bay Area. My friend and I are heading down Monday night and staying until Thursday afternoon - if you're able to make it down, you have some ride buddies!

If you need a place to nap.

Annabella Hotel is having a special. 29 rooms at $29 on the 29th.
:worship:

Thank you for posting! I am flying in from Seattle that night. The flight is scheduled to arrive at SNA at 10:20, then I'm going to drive straight to the park and stay until they close! I could use that Annabella deal to sleep until checkout!

This is looking like my first solo trip. Maybe I'll run into some of you there?

Luckily at WDW we have even more attractions that could prove nap-worthy...Hall of Presidents...Carousel of Progress...People Mover!

We can all ride the trains, too!

I wonder how many times around the park you could ride before anyone noticed.

:rotfl:

And to the PP, you are correct, it starts at 6am on 2/29 and is open until 6am on 3/1.

When I went to WDW last July I was sooooo happy they had people mover!

Me and my friend are going too. We are thinking we might just have to get a treat every hour to keep us awake. lol

She lives in LA but I did book a hotel for a couple of nights just incase we can't make it all night.

Hey there!! Long time no talk or see, it's a small Disboard, isn't it? I'll send you a msg when I get back. (running out right now)

It is one of my very FAVORITE rides. Coming around the corner toward the castle on a warm summer evening is my ideal Disney moment. It just makes me happy!

I also think I may be one of the few people who actually rode the ride at DL that replaced the People Mover on one of the rare occasions it was operational! I wish they had never removed the People Mover though.

Rocket Rods? I miss that ride so much, though I may have more grand memories of it since I was 14 when it was in operation.

I'll be there. Just booked the days off. Going to try for the Anabella special, and drive down Tuesday night from the Bay Area. On March first I'll head back to the Anabella and sleep for 6 hours before checking out and spending some time at California Adventure before hitting the road again.

My wild idea for the 24 hours is riding Its a Small World continuously. I'll have to bring earplugs, snacks, water and some Depends.

Yes! I can never remember the name. I thought it was a cool enough ride, but it was a shame to lose the People Mover for a ride that was only there for a brief period of time.

We are going, but not attempting a full 24 hours lol. It is my oldests bday the 29th so I figure if hubby and the little one want to stay at the hotel K and I can go over to DL and just have some time no matter what time it is that she happens to be awake lol.
