My parents surprised me last week and told me that they were planning to go to WDW for Christmas. I jokingly suggested that I'd come along with them and drive them about.

Well they thought that was a great idea and we're now booked up for 2 weeks covering Christmas, my birthday and New Year. We're staying at the Polynesian and doing 2 weeks DDP.

They've never stayed on-site before so i'm pretty excited to see their faces when they arrive at the Poly.

fantastic!!!:yay::yay: We loved the Poly - you are going to have an amazing time, and what a way for them to start their onsite experience - there will be no turning back for them now once they've stayed there!!.......:goodvibes

When do you fly out?? - We are going for our first ever xmas trip this year, and are so excited!!:cool1:

we fly out on the 19th December

What about you ? I see that you are DVC members. I'm just waiting on a resale contract which has been submitted to Disney for ROFR, 200pts at Saratoga springs.

Which resort are you doing at Christmas?

We fly out on 11th Dec - we leave WDW on 23rd, as we are on the DCL for Xmas, so we will overlap you by a few days!!:thumbsup2

We only joined DVC in the summer - infact, we had originally booked the poly and then bought into DVC, so used the money that we'd have spent on the poly towards the DVC purchase!! :)

This will therefore be our first time staying at BLT (we are there until 18th) and then we move across to the AKV for the last 5 days.

Although I have yet to use my DVC, I already think it is one of the best things I have ever bought - I just wish I had done it years ago - I will keep my fingers crossed for you!!:goodvibes

Great news on your trip :)

We'll also be there for Christmas - we fly out on the 9th. One year we went to the dinner show at the Poly for Christmas Eve - and enjoyed it.

Where are you planning on eating for Christmas Day?

we are there at xmas too, we fly out on 22nd, would love to know what others are doing for xmas dinner, would really like something traditional, I'm sure I read somewhere that the rose and crown does an English xmas dinner, would like to know if that's true

Sorry Traci can't help on the traditional dinner - but we have enjoyed meals at the CG (CR), GF and in the castle one year :)

We have eaten at the LTT and you do get turkey, mash and green beans (i think it was) - so that might be nice.

we're thinking about doing narcoossees for Christmas Dinner
