Well, after looking at travel options for our December trip, we decided it made the most sense to arrive late Saturday afternoon and get a fresh start at the parks on Sunday morning. So, I bit the bullet and booked a Studio at BCV for that arrival night. I'm curious to see how we will do in a studio with two adults and two young kiddies. I suspect it won't be a problem at all--especially since it's just one night. The alternative would have been to book a Value or Moderate and just pay cash, but since we've already paid for the points, it made sense to just book a DVC.
Sunday morning we have a couple of relatives joining us, and we'll be moving over to SSR for the rest of the week.
But I think this will give us some nice options for that arrival night. If the weather is warm enough, we may check out SAB for an hour or so. And, having APs, we'll certainly duck into Epcot in time for Illuminations.
Incidentally, MS initially said there were no rooms at BCV and we booked at BWV. When I asked to be put on the waiting list, the CM put me on hold and came back with a room at BCV. Sounds like they probably went into the cash inventory to grab a room for us. So, even the weekends during December are getting hard to come by.
