:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: . I'm over excited!!! November couldn't get here quick enough.

It will be Me, DW, DS15, DD9, and DS2.

So, how will the crowds be? Should I have booked Dec. 6 - 13? What can we expect? Those of you who've been during this time and/or have stayed at the CR MK View, give me your input. Get me even more excited than I already am, if that's possible :lmao: .

1st Let me say congragulations on getting a reservation for the best possible view in all of WDW. As for the crowds they should be ok for that time since it's before Christmas. Anyway if you have not seen a picture yet, this is what the Magic Kingdom view would look like.

If you were wondering I took that picture in August 2006 from room #4840 which is on the 12th floor.

Congratulations! I stayed there last September and it was the best resort I've ever stayed at, anywhere! I was in a similar boat as you right now in that I booked it in November '06 and had to wait nearly a year for the trip. I was so excited when I could see the resort from the Magical Express bus. But, the bus driver turned left and went to the Poly. So I sat back, figuring we'd be next...Nope, we crossed the rode and went to Wilderness Lodge. Once people got off there, the only ones left on the bus were my girlfriend and I. In a way it was pretty cool, like our own personal coach taking us to the CR.

Once we arrived, there was a greeter at the door. She was a very friendly person and made us feel welcome right away. I think her name Julie or Judy? Anyways, our room was on the 9th floor above Chef Mickeys. When we opened our door, the room took my breath away. I absolutly love the renovated rooms. Everything has a sleek look to it, except the beds which look very plush. After quickly checking out the bathroom, fridge, ect, I made the walk across the room and pulled the curtains back. The view literally took my breath away. Everything is picture perfect. Looking straight out across the Seven Seas Lagoon you can watch monorail trains approach the Grand Floridian. You can watch the old fashioned ferries steam back and forth across the lagoon. You can hear the whistle from the steam locomotives at the MK. You can see the puffs of smoke coming from the Liberty Belle river boat. Space Mountain seems so close you could hit it with your pillow. Each night you have your own private viewing area for Wishes. Where else can you watch Disney Fireworks in your pjs?

Another thing that I liked was having Chef Mickeys right there. We never ate there, and admittedly sometimes the noise did get a little annoying. But, more than a few times I would stand outside our door and just watch Mickey and his friends interact with everyone. I mention this because one of the biggest complaints people have with the CR is that it doesn't feel very Disney too them. Well, I was watching the monorail pass through my lobby every 5 mins, and saw Mickey Mouse there every morning when I woke up and Night when I went to bed. How does it get more Disney? :thumbsup2

Have fun anticipating the trip. I'm already anticipating my next stay...for me thats not till sept '09.

Thanks for that awesome story, it honestly made my morning.

Also, I agree completely with the "not feeling disney enough" myth. I never understood how people can say it's not Disney enough just because it doesn't have an in your face theme. I almost allowed those opinions to sway me into staying at the Poly instead. But then I really got to thinking about my childhood days, and remembering that magical feeling that I got everytime we would ride through the CR on our way to the MK. For me, the CR is more Disney than any of the other resorts.

That is a perfect example why you should always go with your 1st choice of where you would like to stay at in WDW and not letting others talk you out of it, because the Resort might not have an in your face theme like you said.

thats great!!
We are booked there for xmas in concierge I cant wait.
I know theres no gurantee for the rooms view but I will place a request.
