I booked a 2 bedroom condo for $59.00 a night through www.condos-orlando.com. The management company is Elite Homes. Has anyone used them before? It looks lke a really nice place and not too far from WDW.

I have used elite home 3 times, twice for homes and once for a condo. They have always given me great service.

Sounds great, thanks Bonnie! I did check the Orlando Better Business Bureau and they are members and no complaints through them!:sunny:

Big V, you'll love Windsor Palms. We stayed there last year in a 3-bedroom condo and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a beautiful property, well maintained, with great recreational facilities and a beautiful clubhouse, and very close to WDW. Enjoy!

Hey over there in Wisconsin!

You have a real good price on that condo and I have heard nothing but good reports about Windsor Palms, not to be confused with Wyndham Palms.

Please post a report when you get back and have a good time escaping the cold here in Jan.

We spent last week in a 3-bedroom condo at Windsor Palms. We booked directly through the owner. It was wonderful. The condo was beautifully furnished and well equipped with everything we could possibly need. The complex is super clean. I've got nothing bad to say about it and I'm sure we'll find ourselves there again in the future.

Nice to see all these good reports about the Windsor !

We arrive for a 17 day stay there this coming Boxing day, and are really looking forward to it after reading about it here and seeing the resort website.

We got a 3bed/2 bath condo for the 16 nights, booked direct with the owner here in the UK - her details were listed on the resorts website - for £1000 inc taxes, about $1650 at current rates, very close to the prices quoted on the website mentioned above, if not slightly cheaper after adding in the 12 %tax.

We can hardly wait, just over 6 weeks now...:hyper:

:Pinkbounc :eek: :crazy: ::yes:: :bounce:

I've used Elite twice, Big V, with no problems. Have a great trip!

Thanks Robin! That eases my mind a bit that you have used them.:sunny:

I've also booked with Elite for Windsor Palms in March. CAN'T wait!!!!:bounce:

I'm also glad to hear that everyone has good things to say!

Big V - be sure to take notes and LOTS OF PICS!!!

Those who have stayed at Windsor Palms... What was the atmosphere like? How do you check in? I saw a photo that looked like a lobby or public area?

Also, I want a place that will be fun for my DS(6)... I do not see photos of the kiddie pool... Is it just a wading pool, or does it have fountains, slides, or anything like that?

Their rates are incredible! $59.00 for a 2br. ( I have been looking at Marriot Grand Vista where a hotel room is over $100.00...) I think the very highest rate they show is $109.00 for a 3br during the Summer.

PLUS there was a clickable "Special" where if you book now - thru sometime in Dec. you will get $10.00 off of that!

There is no real check-in. When you first drive up, security gets your id and gives you a parking pass. For our condo, there was a lockbox right outside the door to get the key. The owner e-mailed me the code. That's it. Really simple. As for atmosphere, it is quite a large complex with condos, townhomes and pool homes. The "lobby" you see in the photos is the clubhouse. It has a lobby, a game room, a sundry shop, a sales office (if you are so inclined) and an exercise room.

Nothing special there. Just a nice size pool. No slide or fountains. By DD 8 had a good time and all the other kids down to the infants all looked like they were enjoying themselves.

As stated, we paid $90/nite for a 3-br. It was actually $100/nite, but the owner gave us a 10% discount for paying in full when we booked in July. Because our stay was less than 7 nites, we did have to pay a $65 cleaning fee, but that would have been included for a 7 nite stay.

Thanks for the great info!

I see that you have made many trips to Orlando. Feel free to PM me if you have any other great resorts to recommend. I sure do appreciate these DISboards!

Wishing on a star - I don't know what site you've been looking at, but I used
http://www.windsor-palms-resort.com/

Plenty of pictures, a map of the complex and listings of available rentals.

One word of advice - be sure you see photos of the unit you are actually renting, not just stock pictures of a "typical" condo. And read the description carefully regarding what the unit includes. For example, some 3-br condos only have 1 tv in the living room. Ours had 3. We also had a ceiling fan in every room, a VCR and DVD player, a CD stereo system, a blender, a porta-crib and high chair and more things that you won't find in every unit. Remember, these are privately owned and furnished and equipped as the owner saw fit. Lower priced units may (but not necessarily) be more sparsely furnished. We could have gotten a 3-br for less than we paid, but we chose to go with the one with more amenities.
