just booked BW and have some questions

I just booked BW and I don't know anything about this resort. Does the resort have refillable mugs? Do you get free refills? How is the transportation?

If you stayed at this resort, how did you like it?

They sell the refillable mugs at the bakery. I think they were $11.99 last month. You get free refills. I believe they have refrigerators in all the rooms so you many want to consider buying your own. There is a gas station across the street that has water and pop/soda at a good price. You can walk or boat to MGM and Epcot, the boats are pretty efficient. MK & AK are by bus. I have taken the bus to AK in a long time, we always take the rental car. MK service has gotten better, they used to share with Swan, Dolphin, Yacht Club, Beach Club. Last month the bus only shared with the Swan/Dolphin. I am a DVC member at BWV, love it!

About the Boardwalk Inn's buses. When I stayed there in 2003, the Boardwalk shared it's bus with swan, dolphin, and the beach and yacht clubs. The Boardwalk was the LAST on the loop. While this means that you go straight to the parks, on the way back, you have to sit through all the other stops. If you have the energy after a long day in the parks, it might be a good idea to get off at the first hotel and walk to the BW.

You get your mugs refilled at the bakery, Seashore Sweets, and the pool bar. I've also heard that Spoodles walk up window will refill them, but I've only done it at the other places.

Boardwalk is our favorite resort. One of the main reasons we like it is the varity of restaurants so close. We love Flying Fish and Spoodles on the Boardwalk. Right across the lake are Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club and Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club. You can walk around the lake to visit there or take the boat.

We just finished three nights there and my kids loved the slide. I even went down it a couple times. It's not scary, just fun. The view from the top platform is great. Have fun!

It is by far the ugliest pool and due to my hatred of clowns the slides appearance is frightening but the ride is not.

You can also walk to EPCOT and if you have hopping privlidge on your tickets you will then have those places to eat at too. We loved it. We stayed in a two bedroom villa. The other drawback was that some of the rooms are very far down the hall from the elevators. We had a pretty good walk to ours but enjoyed being on the boardwalk, second floor, and being able to see Illuminations every night along with the boardwalk performers.

What is a good area to get a room? I would like something that is close to the theme pool.

You use to be able to have your mug filled at the Bellevue Lounge. They also served continental breakfast there. Not sure if it's still the same.

The boardwalk area is a great location... lots of dining options, boats and walkways to Epcot and MGM, lots to see and do in the evening. We love it down there.
