Just booked Aulani.

So excited just booked a 4th of July trip to Aulani. Maybe I should wait to be excited until I see what airfare is.

I say be excited! We were at Aulani from June 26-July 5 and had a great time!

As for airfare, I've come to the realization that it will always be more than I want to pay. It digusts me, but even for trips to FL, we just don't have the vac time to take driving, so it is what it is.

I watched flights pretty religiously and from Chicago to Honolulu the flights were around $1000 (direct) per ticket. In early Jan (I think we booked on the 5th), we found a flight with a 1.5 hr layover in Phoenix for $750. Considering that it saved us $1000 (4 tickets), we went with that option. I prefer direct flights, but it was worth the savings.

The best part was that Aulani was beautiful. It was an awesome vacation!

Congrats! We went to Aulani in the summer of 2012 and loved it

We were able to get direct airfare from Chicago for $770 per person but that was last year and prices have only gone up. Hopefully you will be able to find a deal....or at least something you can live with.

Aulani is UNBELIEVABLE. We were there for a week last summer, then went to the Hilton on Waikiki Beach for a week (we stayed free on my Hilton points from work).... All my family did was cry that they werent at Aulani! We are going to book for 2 weeks next summer at Aulani, we cant wait to go back! Im just nervous now waiting for the 7 month mark to book!!

We recently scored 10 nights in February and we are so excited!!!! I budgeted $1000/person for air. A heck of a big chunk of money, but if it gets us to Hawaii, it's worth it! Enjoy your trip planning.

We went in June flew from Chicago and paid about $930 but it really was worth it! Flying in the summer is expensive next time i would go during the winter months and for a longer time, we stayed 8 nights. It is an amazing resort!
