Oh happy day, DH just booked us a cruise!! We leave in three weeks(2/28) on the Magic. This will be our 4th cruise and we can't wait. We aren't going to tell our DD's (3 & 5) until we get there! Anyone have any great suggestions for excursions on the Western itinerary? Mickey Boat here we come!!! :wave2:

Congratulations. Have a wonderful time! Sorry I cannot offer any advice on western excursions but i'm sure someone will soon.:D

Congrats on your last minute booking! That is wonderful that you were able to get a stateroom. I'm sure your kids will be thrilled.

Never been on a Western, so I can't help you with excursions but you may want to start reading some of the trip reports on the Cruise Trip Report Board and at www.castawayclub.com. I'm sure that will be helpful.

HAPPY SAILING! :boat:

There have been lots of posts about the western excursions lately. you are only 3 weeks out so the good ones through Disney may be gone. If you want to do the stingray encounter on Cayman try captainmarvins.com . They offer much the same excursions for less money. If you are interested in the dolphin encounter in Cozumel try dolphindiscovery.com . Again, same thing for less $ (Disney has adult for $105, through the website the encounter (not swim) is $75 for adults).

Hi eagmommy!

Make sure that ship is perfect for when I get there in May, LOL!

I did the stingray and turtlefarm excusion last year. I absolute, positively loved the singray city, but I wasn't as fond of the turtle farm (we didn't have very much time) or the city tour and stop at Hell.

I would definitely recommend the Stingray city only excurison (if you are into that sort of thing). It was abslutely amazing!!!

Also a warning for Castaway Cay if you were considering the banaboats. My sister really enjoyed them, but I can't say that it was my best excursion. I'm a small person (115lbs) with very little upper body strength (I lift textbooks, that's about it) whereas my sister has enough upper body strenght to lift a horse I'm sure. Anyways, I thought the banana boats would be calm and fun....

My side of the boat got thrown off (luckily, the water isn't that deep), and for the rest of the trip, my mom had to hold the back of my life jacket as I keep lifting off my seat. By the end of the ride, I couldn't stand as my legs and arms were shaking with exhaustion. I know lots of people have fun on this ride, but just to warm you if you're a weakling like I admit to be.. sit on the inside of a row, not at the front or back!

Hope this helps

Hi,

Have a great time!!!!

We booked our 2/28/04 Western this past Friday and were luck to get a Florida resident rate. We don't have an assigned room #. What are chances that we will get an upgrade? We are booked in a cat. 9 gty. Also, right now we have the late dinner seating, but are on the waitlist for early. What are chances of getting early? ON our first cruise we had late and my dd's then ages 1 & 3 didn't make it. This time they are 3 & 5 but I still don't think they will make it. I love those dinner's and would hate to miss them or make others miserable listening to my whining children. One last question, what are some good excursions with a 3 & 5 year old? I can't wait to go!!!:earsgirl:
