Hi everybody! I just booked airfare for my trip in December. I booked on Frontier Airlines from Cleveland nonstop to Orlando. It was a great deal, I could not pass it up. I know that there are no frills with this airline and that you have to pay for bags (including carry on...which I dont love but, I know about it.) I'm feeling a little uneasy about it because I've heard some not so good reviews. Can anybody make a girl feel better and tell me your trip with them was hassle free???

Thanks in advance!!!

I've never flown with Frontier but all I can say is.....You've booked airfare!!!!!! That is very exciting!!!! I mean it! Getting a decent airfare is what holds me back from going to Disney more often. So don't worry.....celebrate! :)

Frontier bought out Midwest Express in Milwaukee and they promised to keep flights. ya, that lasted a whole year. They are still in Milwaukee, but any flight they have has to be connected in Denver. If I want to go to Orlando, Denver first. New York City, Denver first.

I actually like the airline, I just wish they would of kept the awesome flights they used to have.

I've flown them many times and my aunts family lives in Denver and loves them. No problems. But really they charge for carry on now?

Frontier used to be a decent airline but Southwest came into Denver a few years ago and ate their lunch. They are still decent but recently moved to an "ultra low frills" model (i.e. there is a fee for EVERYTHING).

As long as you understand the fare and fee structure (which you do) then you're golden!

thanks guys! I really was excited about it! a direct flight that will get us to Orlando by 8:50 in the morning?! It's like someone gave me a whole extra day of vacation! Yes, they do charge for carry on bags I think it's something like $20 or $25 each way. Not exactly thrilled with the baggage situation but the other airlines were at least a stop or more and asking double!

Ok, I am back to being excited again!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Thanks! Look for the pre-trip report soon!

I have never used Frontier but I have flown Spirit which also charges for carry on bags. What I have learned is that carry on actually costs $2 more than a checked bag. I assumed a checked bag would cost more and never looked at the price and figured I would be saving more if I could jam my stuff into a smaller bag. Now every time I fly Spirit I just use the checked bag because I can bring more stuff for virtually the same amount of money.

We've flown Frontier twice. No more painful then any other airline. We Like that they fly into Trenton, NJ. Avoiding Philadelphia airport is a gift. Join the frontier deal den and save $5 at check in on checked luggage. Just read all the fee fine print and no surprises. You can still take a personal item at no charge. Just make sure it's the currect size.

Im from cleveland too! and I just flew frontier from here to orlando 7/10- 7/14 and will be again three weeks from tomorrow! It was just like any other flight except no complimentary beverages on board and paying for checked baggage. I would just check it and not bring carry on! thats what we are doing in a few weeks and having the magical express take our bags. This past trip was fine so I'm hoping it will be the same way this time too! Hope that makes you feel better!

Ditto. I live 7 miles from the Trenton Airport and it's so nice to pay $68 one way for a flight and only have a 14 minute drive to the airport. Like everyone said it's no frills and you have to pay for everything, including carry on bags. However the airline is really nice and has direct TV on every flight that you can purchase.
