It has all these good things going for it including romance. Or at least hints of it. Do you belong to goodreads.com?

Brats.

They are brats, huh? First it's "I don't cook enough" and then when I do it's "You should have done it this way". I can't win. Sigh.

I think I checked it out before if you've mentioned it before. I didn't stick with it though. I like talking with people I know about what to read, lol.

When it comes to me I'm usually just a YA supernatural book addict. It's a problem.
:rotfl: I can be that way too. And I'm so far removed from YA too

The only way I can do AudioBooks is if I'm doing something else (otherwise I have the same falling asleep thing). E.g. yesterday I attacked DD6's room. I am a little bit of a no-clutter freak and her room was freaking me out  So I got out the trash / give away / recycle bags and attacked it -- with my ipod playing on my iHome portable speakers. The current one I'm on is an Augusten Burrough (spelling?) collection of short stories that is really weird. It's the guy who wrote "running with scissors" if that gives you a clue :rotfl: I wanted something light after my last listen, which was the marathon (21 hours!!!) The Story of Edgar Sawtelle. The only problem was that DH came home with DD6 and I had to keep pausing it. The guy has a gazillion NC-17 stories. So I'm ready to move on...thus the new finds at the library :thumbsup2

I'm getting further and further away from the YA category every year. But that's why it's a (not so) guilty pleasure!

Maybe one day I'll try an audiobook while doing something else, but i'm not so sold on it.

I like reading the reviews on books before I read them. And I have found some great books that way.

Makes sense. I was thinking that audio books might be good on the treadmill.

Maybe I'll pull out our stationary bike and listen to one that way, lol.

As for reviews, I like reviews when they come through word of mouth of someone that I know. I don't trust reviews from someone I've never met before, lol. I'm really particular in that way.

Only 3 more days until we leave for DLR!!!! :cheer2: :yay: :cool1:

:cool1::cool1::cool1: Reminds me, I've got something to PM you about real fast. Give me a second.

Well, I have thought about the audio books while driving on long trips too.

Woohoo!!

Jason listens to them in his car. But for me that would be a conflict of interest in the whole "they put me asleep" part. Not a good idea when you're at the wheel.

Honestly, I am friends with one of my favorite authors on there and I stalk her list.

:lmao:

That's pretty cool, especially if she gives you good books to read.

Well, she writes YA so that is her preference in reading. It is a win win for me.

:thumbsup2 Win wins are awesome!

Right now I have been lucky enough that the series I have been reading keep me busy. But they all seem to be coming to an end lately, lol. I just need more. But I'm picky.

I hate it when a series ends.

You both read the Hunger games series right? I have the first 2, but haven't read them yet. DH was looking for something to read so I handed them to him. He is loving them! He finished the 1st one and is on #2. #3 will be in his stocking for Christmas :)

It's almost heart breaking! Especially when the series was amazing.

Yes! I've read and loved The Hunger Games! Very good. parts of it felt rushed/forced (especially book #3) but a very good series otherwise. The concept just blew me away.

I thought one and two were awesome. Mockingjay felt like she rushed it to me.

Have you read The Forest Of Hands And Teeth and The Dead Tossed Waves? They are really good too.

Ugh. I honestly might not get to do any trip report stuff until the new year :guilty:

This is definitely our busy time at work. Each day I'm having back-to-back clients. My weekends have been filled with activities too. Today I had to bite the bullet and actually do some Christmas shopping online(thanks etsy, threadless and modcloth!) because who knows if I can make it to actual stores. I've just about hit the cutoff dates for regular shipping though, so if I want to order anything from now on I'll have to spend big bucks on faster shipping.

You poor thing. I would say I hope it slows down but you don't want that.

I'll add them to my list and possibly check 'em out.

 I understand busy times! My work load picks up drastically next week and then I finally have family Christmas plans I have to take part in. I'll get so busy! At least you got some stuff done today before the shipping dates hit!

Bummer about your TR. I can't remember, did you get one of the photos we did on your camera? I know I didn't on mine.
