I can be that way too. And I'm so far removed from YA too
The only way I can do AudioBooks is if I'm doing something else (otherwise I have the same falling asleep thing). E.g. yesterday I attacked DD6's room. I am a little bit of a no-clutter freak and her room was freaking me out

So I got out the trash / give away / recycle bags and attacked it -- with my ipod playing on my iHome portable speakers. The current one I'm on is an Augusten Burrough (spelling?) collection of short stories that is really weird. It's the guy who wrote "running with scissors" if that gives you a clue

I wanted something light after my last listen, which was the marathon (21 hours!!!)
The Story of Edgar Sawtelle. The only problem was that DH came home with DD6 and I had to keep pausing it. The guy has a gazillion NC-17 stories. So I'm ready to move on...thus the new finds at the library
