Me too. Bookstores are my worst habit. Literally. I have a Nook and it takes all of my self control to not buy new books on it all the time. Thankfully there are free books that you can get on it all the time.

Yes, DD was handing out candy and brought her little bro some. DD was cold, though. She was wearing her school shirt and they weren't allowed to cover the logo. She was relying on under clothing to keep her warm. She was aslo wearing a scarf and carrying an umberella. When i picked her up she said she was freezing.

Poor thing. I feel bad for. I cannot believe the school how ridiculous they are.

I will try my best on the thread, but I haven't been on the boards much lately. It's that time of year where you feel pulled in all different directions, ya know? I love all the chit-chat though, it's a happy place

I just got back from lunch and my mani/pedi (first time I've ever had that done by a guy).

We got home from our local christmas parade. DD was in it, otherwise I woudn't have sat in the rain for an hour staking our claim. We weren't "in" the rain, we sat under an awening so we wouldn't get wet an I was sure to bring our camping chairs.

We have a couple local parades too, and when DD15 was in cheer/band, we went to them. I'm kinda glad we don't have to anymore I hear ya on the staking claim, I don't even like doing that in DL, let alone downtown San Jose

So ... double date dinner was good. We went to this place Billy Berk's, it's kind of hipster American food? I had this mojito skirt steak, it was pretty good. DH had some crab stuffed trout, he liked it. It was fun being out with my girlfriend and husband sans kiddos. Then we went to Comedy Sportz. Their place in San Jose has this donut shop inside called Psycho Donuts. They sell ummm, psycho donuts. Crazy donut names/flavors and the people dress in lab uniforms. DH had some apricot fritter (apple is still better in our opinion) and I had a Kooky Monster, which is a donut topped with crushed Oreo cookies. It was really just more sweet than anything else My girlfriend got the Smores donut, which did look really yummy, but I couldn't manage another sugary bite. They sell a calendar, which gives you an idea of the vibe of the donut place - at the bottom of this post

Comedy Sportz was really funny. They did this improv bit involving a loofah that had me in tears. Laughter does a soul good So it was a good date night.

Oh what a fun place that looks like. Next time I am in your area for a bicycle race I need to take Scotty there. He is a donut loving fool. Sounds like you guys had fun and that is great!!

I would say the donuts are more for looks than taste - of course, it was 9 pm and those donuts most likely were made in the early morning. My girlfriend did say the S'mores donut was really good, I guess that one was mentioned in some national magazine's top ten list or something. But it definitely had a fun cool vibe

I met up with some longtime girlfriends (that I know from a wedding board when I planned my wedding in the early 2000s ) for breakfast this morning, but went home right afterwards, changed into comfy sweats, watched "eclipse" (just got it on blu-ray ) and now playing on the computer

Well, it's totally been raining today (it's POURING in Santa Monica right now and I got drenched on my way to my car to get something from the trunk), Would have been perfect to wear them.
