I'm all packed! Put in the toothbrush, makeup, and cell phone charger after I was done using them for the day. My mom and I are sharing a big suitcase though, so she is now responsible for getting it in the car I'm off to work. Busy busy day, so we might not get on the road until close to 5!! Sigh. I just want to be there now, darnit!

I can't wait until I'm putting in all of my last minute things. I just hope I don't forget them. This is why I always take so long to pack, to make sure I don't forget anything. It wont be the end of the world if I do, but I generally like my things. I get attached. Even to my toothbrush.

Desert Inn and Suites is much closer than HOJO's. The hotel is just one over from the crosswalk to the pedestrian entrance. I've always found really good rates too. I don't know about the Ramada Maingate.

Oops, I totally missed Michele's original post, thanks for answering I think the Ramada Maingate is the "bigger" hotel right next to McDonald's right? We haven't stayed there. Michele, they are all part of that big clump of hotels by the crosswalk ... Camelot, Carousel, Tropicana, etc. Those are the closest hotels (walking distance) to the DL/DCA turnstiles. The DI&S has really suck-y parking, and the rooms/beds are just OK (nothing fancy - but they've always been clean on our visits), the indoor pool/spa is something we don't use, but we like the bigger rooms available and the walk is During the winter I'm not so interested in the pool, so I think it might be the DI&S. Luckily I don't have to make a decision for another week or so

This is so unreal. All I can think is what the odds of this are.

USAA (our insurance) has already approved the rental and we can pick it up tomorrow afternoon.

In other news: I have decided I am pampering myself with a mani/pedi tomorrow after an amazing lunch with my Uncle who turned 80 today at my favorite restaurant in the world.

Oh, we have USAA too! They are the bomb. LOVE LOVE LOVE them, would never switch!

So yesterday while picking up DD6 from school and looking around her school's holiday boutique, I started feeling really crappy and run-down I went to bed around 8:30 Luckily that seemed to do me some good, I feel much better (but not 100% yet) today. Maybe a slight cold? I'm stuffy and my throat kinda hurts from the post nasal drip. I'm hoping this better feeling stays, DH and I have a 'double date' tonight with one of my good friends and her hubby. Dinner and then we're going to see ComedySportz (improv comedy). My friend got cheap tix from Groupon, I was just reading the yelp reviews and they're pretty good so hopefully it will be I could use some good belly laughs.

USAA is amazing. I'm sticking on my parents as long as I can since it's cheaper for all of us, but once I get my own I'm definitely not going anywhere else. They have served us well over the years. Well, until recently we never really had to file any claims. Now all of a suddent hey are popping out right and left. It's lame.

Sounds like a lot of the symptoms I'm having although you sound better off than I am! I hope the better feeling sticks around and that you all have a fun night!

I'm resting as much as I can. We had to pick up the new rental today (the gals at Enterprise were awesome and gave us a free upgrade) so I've got that. I'm finishing my packing and trying not to leave my room a total mess while I'm gone. Next up is a good lunch (because good food will make all the difference for me right now) and then I do still plan on going for a mani/pedi. I just really need that pick me up. I feel alright so long as I'm working through something to drink and have the Dayquil going.

I just need for it not to get worse, that's all.

I just got back from lunch and my mani/pedi (first time I've ever had that done by a guy). I feel better already, lol. And I definitely think I can get some sleep before work tonight. And I'm glad I'm training tonight. The pressure in my head is making kneeling and bending the worst thing ever so she can do everything I would have to stoop for! Does that sound horrible?

We got home from our local christmas parade. DD was in it, otherwise I woudn't have sat in the rain for an hour staking our claim. We weren't "in" the rain, we sat under an awening so we wouldn't get wet an I was sure to bring our camping chairs. Afterwards we went to Barns & Nobels for some hot cocoa and a treat. Of course we looked at books. I could easily spend $50 every time I go in there, but refrained myself this time. They have a Inkheart trilogy I really want.

So tonight was the concert for Kacy to go see her heart throb. She got to actually meet him and carry on a conversation with him. Her wonderful loving sister Kody actually told him that Kacy loves him.

Scotty and I sat in the van and spent the time relaxing while they were in the concert. It was actually kind of fun tonight.

And Kacy she is barely walking on earth yet. I will post pictures on here after she gets a chance to post them herself.

Oh and it was decided that Kacy will go with Kody to see Family Force 5 next Friday so I am not going with her and am going to find a nice Barnes and Noble to hang out at.

Yes, DD was handing out candy and brought her little bro some. DD was cold, though. She was wearing her school shirt and they weren't allowed to cover the logo. She was relying on under clothing to keep her warm. She was aslo wearing a scarf and carrying an umberella. When i picked her up she said she was freezing.
