How was the weather?

okay so what kind of crowds did you find? What were your best experiences, what were the worst?

:earsboy:

And took the super shuttle there and back. It was economical and easy! It was only like a 10 minute drive.

We saw TONS of characters. It was 11 adults and we had reservations at Goofy's Kitchen and the characters LOVED hanging around our table. If you want to see characters...go there! But try to make a reservation. We had reservations at 9:30am and people who were walking in were told it was a TWO hour wait! That's a way longer wait then Splash Mountain!

The new Space Mountain is unbelievable! If you like the Space at WDW, you'll LOVE this one...faster and darker, better music. I personally think all the rides that they have at DL that they also have at WDW are better at DL. Does that make sense?

was by far the new space mountain! Also Fantasmic...we were just at WDW over the summer, but the Fantasmic at WDW doesn't hold a candle. The seating situation is better at WDW, but I think the show is much better at DL. And the fireworks! This is a MUST see and see it from in front of the castle.

The crowds weren't so bad at all on Friday, but on Saturday it was PACKED. It was gay days so there were a lot more people there, but they were all very nice.

The weather was a little warm, I wore shorts and a tank top the whole time and never needed pants or a sweatshirt, even though I packed it. I would at least pack a sweatshirt if you are going because as the month rolls on, it will get cooler, especially at night.

How were the Saturday crowds in the evening? We know it's going to be busy on our first night there (Nov. 5) but we are going to arrive that Saturday afternoon for our four days because we want to see the fireworks. Assume we won't accomplish much that night other than to get acclimated and see the show. So I wondered if you stayed late, when/if the crowds began to dissapate. How long were the lines for the rides on that day as compared to the rest of your stay.

Did you stake out a good spot in front for the shows, and if so, how early did you do so? Did you watch Fantasmic on one night and the fireworks on a different one in order to see both well?

was by far our hotel. We stayed at the Annabella and it was a bad experience from the beginning. Luckily we did not let that ruin our trip. If you are going to be there for four days starting on a Saturday, you will be fine for crowds. I wouldn't watch Fantasmic or Fireworks on Saturday, save that for later in the trip when the crowds will be lighter (during the week). My only recommendation is to stake a good spot for the fireworks, make sure to sit where you can see the front of the castle. You've picked a good time to go, in my opinion!

Fantasmic will be showing on Sunday night but the fireworks only on Fri and Sat at that time of year. Hence, we will HAVE to go to the fireworks show on Saturday night. But, since that's the focus of our time there on Saturday other than checking and settling in for the next few days, I am content to stake out a spot about an hour early. Hopefully that will give us a good enough view!

I didn't realize it in my earlier post but our trip is exactly one month from today! Woo hoo hoo!! :cheer2:

Sorry you had a bad experience with Annabella hotel. Our generally has been good. But... Contact the manager and see if he can help resolve, he generally has been very good about making things right. Also might want to post your experience up on Tripadvisor (the manager does read all posts).

Sounds like a good plan! Yeah, just stake a spot with some good ole junk food and you'll be glad you did! I noticed that on Saturday night after the last Fantasmic!, the park really cleared out, but with really long waits for rides still. I thought that was strange. Maybe you could send some people in your family to get fastpasses while you stake out a spot and then you'll be able to ride some rides after the fireworks. The fireworks are AMAZING!

Yeah, it was a terrible experience...we even had a manager hang up on my sister when she called about the air conditioning not working. We were in total shock. We have written a letter to the Walt Disney Travel Company and now I will be posting on TripAdvisor. I was very disappointed with the level of service and to lose business from 11 people is a bad thing, in my opinion.

Ouch!
I'll be staying at anabella tomorrow. :(
Now I'm worried.
What were your bad experiences?
If you don't mind me asking.

Oh and how long was the walk to the park? :)

Be aware, though, that using FPs right after the fireworks can also be a bit of a wait (because every other person watching the fireworks has probably done the same thing). Don't expect a really quick line as usual.

The walk is not bad at all! We walked every day by cutting through DownTown Disney.

I am going to PM you.

Thanks so much!
You are awesome.

Yikes, I'm booked to spend 10 days at the Annabella in a mini suite. I was really looking forward to it, I must say that the girl at the front desk that I spoke to was very nice and accomodating. When she found out I had a prosthetic leg she blocked a room for me near the front of the property on the ground floor so I would not have the steps to contend with. Certainly she sounded very pleasant and was making a real effort to try and get me the best room for our needs. What kind of problems did you have, did you get the room type that you requested, was it clean and comfortable, I'm sorry for the questions but would like to be forewarned, thanks

The accomodatins were OK not the greatest, but certainly not the worst, it was certainly a customer service issue. They were sweet as pie booking our stay and before hand, but once we checked in it was all downhill. Like I said, we heard from others that it was a decent place to stay which is why we booked, but the issues we had will never bring us back there. My room didn't have any issues, but my poor sisters room was the worst, no air conditioning for 2 days and it was pretty warm for Anaheim when we were there. I wouldn't sweat it...I have had great experiences at places that people hate and vice versa.
