We just returned from a week at Disney! DH & I took our 3 yr old granddaughter. After two days at Universal (had a great time - loved Cabana Bay!), we checked in at Pop Century! Our room was ready at about 9:30 am!!! (We were at Disney Nov 16-21)
We had room 1364 - great location, not that far from the food court/bus stop area. We even saw a GREAT fireworks show from our room!!! Room was very clean, housekeeping did a great job all week!!
Busses were great! We never waited more than a few minutes for a bus - either coming from or going to a park. There was only one time that we had to stand on the bus. A few times, we did catch the Art of Animation bus and just walked over to Pop!
On Sunday, we took my granddaughter to ride the ponies at Fort Wilderness. She had such a good time!!! It was really a nice little boat ride over there! We took the bus to Downtown Disney for some shopping, and dinner at Wolfgang Puck Express!
FP & Magic Bands worked fine for us. We didn't have any problems!
Weather got a little colder than we were expecting on our Epcot day; there was a little mist falling off and on. I had to buy some sweat pants for DGD (she had on long pants, but with the mist, it just felt so cold, and I didn't want to risk her getting sick). DH even bought a pair of sweat pants!
Overall, we did not find the parks too crowded. On Thurs, Nov 20, we went to MK. Got there right when it opened (actually opened a little early). Loved the Seven Dwarfs Mine ride!!! We rode almost every ride, except Space Mountain (DGD isn't tall enough), Splash Mountain (it was a little too cool to get wet), and Peter Pan (line was always too long). We were actually done by 3:00ish. After the parade, we were going to close out the day with a ride on the train, but there was a problem and they said it would be about a 30 minute wait for the next train.
We left and did a tour of the monorail resorts - LOVED the Frozen gingerbread house at the Contemporary!! And of course, I always love seeing the gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian. Sorry I missed the Christmas tree at GF! Our next trip will definitely be the week after Thanksgiving - I LOVE all the Christmas decorations!!!!! (Pop Century did have their tree up on Thursday!)
We had free dining (upgraded to regular dining plan). We ate at Via Napoli, Chefs de France, Mama Melrose, Liberty Tree Tavern, Yak & Yeti, and Ohana for breakfast. (Paid out of pocket at Liberty Tree Tavern). Food and service was great - no complaints at all!!
