We just got back from a great trip.... Here's where we ate!

Spoodles - first night. What a great way to start the trip! We all loved Spoodles and the boardwalk. Pleasant atmosphere and great food.

Cosmic Ray's (counter service)- quick, easy lunch.

LTT - character dinner - we all loved this one. By the way, everyone raves about the salad - and I agree - but my daughter hated it and they brought out a salad with ranch dressing for her - no problem. The characters were wonderful here - actually saw them each twice.

Epcot Princess Breakfast - I can't say enough about this. Belle recognized my daughter from the day before in France and we had a very very magical moment. Breakfast was good too, but that's not really why you come to this, is it??? We saw Belle, Jasmine, Mary Poppins, Snow White, and Mulan.

50's Prime Time - Tried to check in early here - don't bother. They will NOT seat you early (before your PS). We waited for a long time as a result. Once we were in, we loved it! Uncle Tim told us to get our elbows off the table, etc etc. We did notice that they tend to pick on the adults - much to the delight of our kids. I loved my green beans - but I saw another guy get his for dessert with whipped cream on them!

Pizzafari - cool rooms, quick pizza lunch. Look in all the rooms - they are all different.

Shutters - nice but pricey at a moderate resort (CBR).

Cinderella's Royal Table at the castle - Again, you don't come here for the food, although it was good. Belle walked in and immediately recognized my dear princess daughter (8) and gave her a huge hug and called her by name. Then she looked right at me and said "How great is THIS!" I have to say, that was a magical moment for my DH and me.... we were sweating it out a bit! DD now thinks Belle is her best friend in all of Disney World! Saw Belle, Cinderella, Mary Poppins, Aurora, and Snow White.

Plaza Restaurant - very pleasant lunch around 2pm - walked out and found a parade spot!

The rest were either food court or counter service that I can't recall right now.

Happy to answer questions if I can!

The Belle sightings sound very magical! You're daughter will never forget that! I hope you took lots of pictures of Belle and your daughter!

Shutters--what did you order? Dessert? You thought it was priced high but was the food good? DH is dying to take us there as he ate there by himself 6-8 weeks ago. It doesn't seemed to be priced higher than Maya Grill or Boatwright's which are at the moderate resorts. (Of course, I think they are ALL expensive! What I meant was Shutters doesn't seem --relative to the other moderate restaurants--to be much more expensive.)

We had such fun in the rooms at Pizzafari. My kids wanted to find the hidden animals in each room. DH and I were having just as much fun!

Thanks for your reviews!

I just got ps for the princess breakfast..however, I'm reading very mixed reviews. Many seem to say that it really depends where you sit as to how your character interaction is.

Did you find this? Or notice it affecting others there?

Thanks!! Glad you had such a great trip!

Thanks for the reviews but had to extra note this one as it's one of my favs too - I love that dressing :)

What a great trip report, sounds like you made a lot of wonderful memories. Your daughter will remember this trip forever. Glad to hear you liked Spoodles, it is one of our favorite restaurants at WDW. We like dinner & breakfast at Spoodles that we eat there on every trip.

Belle5 - Let's see if I can remember what we had at Shutters....

I had the jerk chicken which was very tender and juicy - the flavor was interesting, although not something I'd order often. I think it came with mashed potatoes and green beans, which were good.

My DH had chicken wings and a salad - the sauce was a little too sweet for his taste.

My DD who talked me into the place because she wanted the pasta and meatball, didn't like the sauce. But she's fickle, so I wouldn't put too much weight on that opinion. My other DD had some sort of kids' meal - can't remember which.

It was no more expensive than any other table service restaurant in WDW, and it was a pleasant meal, just not one of my favorites, and I felt a little like I was "settling" because I really had wanted to try Boma that night, but it was too late to get in.

Lisa - About the Norway breakfast - we thought it was great. I had also read the mixed reviews and worried. The room was fine, and our character interactions were what I would consider "normal" for a character meal - with the exception of Belle, of course. Our PS was for 10:10 - not sure if the time matters. We were in a middle room - no windows, but that didn't matter to us. I think that you really have to engage the characters to get them to stay around for a few minutes - ask questions, keep them talking. My daughters tend to be shy, and the characters assume they don't have anything to say and move on! I've tried and tried to tell them to TALK to them! Anyway, I would not have any problem recommending the Norway breakfast to a princess lover. Have fun!
