We returned last night from our wonderful 8 nights in Disney. We used the Dining Plan and tried lots of new restaurants. I got such great info, ideas, and even some ADRs from this site, so thanks to everyone.

I'd love to write reports on each place but I know I'll never get to that. If anyone has any questions though, I will do my best to answer them. We were 2 adults, one 11 year old "adult", and 2 children (9 & 7).

Our TS meals:

Breakfast: Ohana's
Lunch: Garden Grill, 50s Prime Time, Crystal Palace
Dinner: Whispering Canyon, Tony's, 1900 Park Fare, Kona

Thanks again everyone. I feel like I need to start a diet now! ;)

We are doing dinner at the 50's next week. What did you have? Anything good to recommend?

Glad that you had a good trip. Did you any of the rain the last few days of your trip?

Did you like Ohana's? I have read so many mixed reviews about the food.

50s PTC was alot of fun. DH had the pot roast and raved about it. My 11 yr old and I had the meat loaf which was good too, though I tried the pot roast and liked that better. HUGE brownie sundaes for dessert were yummy!

The waitress was a riot. She made my husband set the table and he got a nice lecture about elbows on the table. She got all upset when the guy at the next table used his cell during dinner. Funniest though - my 11 yr old is not a big veggie fan (to say the least). She announced to the whole restaurant that he wasn't eating his green beans, picked up a forkful, and had the whole room make airplane noises while she fed him. I thought he'd be horrified but he was a really good sport, 1 mouthful was all he'd eat though!

We didn't get caught in any of Fay's rain. We left early Monday afternoon, beautiful sunny skies.

We enjoyed Ohana's breakfast too. The food was hot, fresh, and very good. The characters all came around to the table and the kids joined in a parade with them. Family style is a nice change to the buffets, it is much more relaxing. This was a new one for us, we have always done Chef Mickey's in the past. The kids only complaint is that there is no dessert. Not that you need it at breakfast, but they know at Chef Mickeys they can get donuts and other sugary stuff. I didn't miss that though. It is a much quieter atmosphere than CM, and like I said, you are not constantly getting up from the table. They take a family picture on the way in too. We didn't buy it (I think it was $30), the photograher took a picture of us with our camera too.

I would go to either of these places again.

Thanks!!!! We will have to give Ohana's a try:thumbsup2

What did you think of the Garden Grill for lunch. We will be eating there for lunch. It will be me, DH and our 21 month old DS.

How was the kids meal there? I'm a picky eater, so I will probably end up eating the kids meal. Sad, I know!

We really enjoyed the Garden Grill. Again, it's family style, so very relaxing. And the booths have very high backs so it is very private. When the characters are at your table, they are really there with just you. The kids meal was the usual - chicken nuggets, mac & cheese, french fries. The nice thing is, anyone at the table can eat anything, share both the adult and kid platters. Then they will bring you more of anything you ask. Actually, I'm kind of picky, just like traditional foods - and I really enjoyed this meal. The dessert was delicious.

Tony's - I was a little nervous after all the bad press here! We had a great experience. We were seated immediately, and the service was probably the best all week, everything was brought out very quickly. I had the chicken parm which was good, like an Olive Garden type meal. The kids really enjoyed the spaghetti and meatballs. The ice cream bomb dessert was very good too. Didn't really care for the bread, but other than that - very good experience!

How was the food at WCC? Did they have fun antics? TIA

This was definitely my least favorite meal. The food was just ok - although there was a ton of it. The desserts were very good. The restaurant was VERY loud. As for the antics - when I read here about the ketchup etc it sounded fun, but I thought it got old kind of quick. Before we were even seated we heard "KETCHUP" being screamed so many times. Then they had the whole restaurant yelling messages into people's cell phones, leaving "wish you were here" messages for people. Sounds fun, but like I said, extremely loud and just annoying after awhile. Let me add, we are not really quiet & reserved people. My son who I'm always asking to quiet down couldn't even be heard in this place. It was fun to do once but I don't think we will rush back any time soon.
