We ate at:
TS:
Ohana's (dinner)
Teppan Edo (dinner)
The Plaza (lunch)
Crystal Palace (breakfast)
Chef Mickey's (breakfast)
Akershus (lunch)
Donald's Safari breakfast at Tusker House
CS:
Pizza Planet
POP
Casey's
Pinnochio's Village Haus

I'd be happy to answer any questions anyone may have!

Would you recommend Tucker House or CM breakfast if we only do one?

Awesome! How was Tusker House?

The food was amazing!! The characters, not so much. The entire buffett was huge and therer was more variety than I've seen at any other buffett...They had a wide variety of pastries, bagels with a variety of spreads, cereals, yogurt with toppings and granola, eggs, breakfast meats, waffles, pancakes etc etc etc...Our server was excellent (Billy), the jambo (spelling?) juice was yummy.

We found the characters to be very rushed, didn't interact much and not at all playful...the little parade for the kids was cute though and we enjoyed the atmosphere. I would definintely do it again!

If you've never done CM, then I would definitely do that. It's just a classic Disney meal! Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Pluto!

If you've done CM before, then I would try Tusker. It's different and fun. Excellent food and a much bigger selection than CM.

I am hoping to try lunch there in June. I have previously had breakast and dinner there and liked both but the lunch menu posted at Allears.net seems limited to me.

Also, did you enjoy O'Hana?

Thanks,
Nicole

How were the charachters at Chef Mickey's? We went there a few years back and it seemed it took forever for the charachters to get to our table!

I know I'm not the OP, but I'll give me $.02! (Even if it's probably not wanted, haha.) We were there at the end of this past Jan, and yes, it did take forever for the characters to get to us. We had been there many times before though, and decided that we had seen them so many times before, we could just skip them. So we left before a few of them got to us.

We've done Akershus twice for lunch. I've gotten the open faced salmon sandwich and the seafood chowder both times. I think it's very good. My husband got the pulled pork the first time and liked it, this time he got the meatloaf type dish (spelled like kjottake or something) and it wasn't very good at all. Overly seasoned, lots of herbs. He left most of it on the table and made a meal out of the rolls and shrimp and chicken salad on the buffet! My kids got pizza and hot dogs. The menu is very limited, but we enjoy it. It's not rushed and the princesses always seem very sweet.

We really LOVED Ohana! I made a 6:45 ADR and we were able to watch Wishes from our table at 8pm. Everything was so good! The dumplings, the wings, the shrimp and sirloin were yummy! And the bread pudding for dessert was to die for!! I could have done without the cheesy lounge act, but my DD2, enjoyed dancing!!

We waited a while for Donald to get to us, but everyone else seemed to arrive pretty quickly. It does take a while for them to rotate through the restaurant, so if you just miss someone when you're seated, you'll wait a while...Although, I have noticed that if you tell your server that you missed a character and that the ONLY reason you're still sitting there, they are usually able to arrange a quick visit for you. They want you outta there so they can get another group in!

I will definitely try lunch at Akershus now. I plan on eating at most of the restaurants you dined at.

Thanks again!
Nicole

I hope your not thinking about Crystal Palace, that was painfully forever.:scared:

What was the lounge act? I'm trying to decide between Ohana's for dinner or breakfast. If I do Ohana's at dinner that means I can do Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace for breakfast. (I can only do one Character Breakfast)

We are having dinner at Akeshus on the 15th of June and we have never been there. I just want to know if this is the right place for my daughter's 4th birthday? Is the food good also there for dinner? Any info would be appreciated.

could you tell me a little about Teppan Edo? I booked this meal but I have made too many dining ressies and am wondering if I'd really like it there...thanks for offering the help! Also, tell us a little more about O'hana's. I have a seven pm ressie there as well and I've seen a lot of negative reviews lately :(

Could you please tell me about the Plaza Restaurant. I would like to know about the food and how fast the service is (this is a whirlwind trip for us!)
TIA:)

What sides did you get with the meat at Ohanas? Noodles or potatoes? Veggies? Thanks!

There was a woman talking and playing a ukeleile (sp?!) and teaching the kids how to do the hula. It was kinda annoying, but it didn't last long and the kids seemed to really enjoy it.

If I had to choose for you, I would do Ohana for dinner, and Crystal Palace (and get an ADR for pre-opening, so you get to the park when it's empty!)

I've never eaten dinner there, but my DD2 loves it there and I think that it's such a huge "bang for your buck" that it's hard to go wrong. Both times we've gone for lunch we've had our photo taken with Belle (included in the package) and Aurora, Ariel, Cinderella and Jasmine come to your table. My DD doesn't touch her food while we're there because she cant take her eyes off the princesses. I would definitely go and have a blast. If the food isn't the best you can always have a snack later! ;) Hope she has a great birthday!!

I liked Teppan Edo, but not as much as i thought I would...it was loud and our chef wasn't overly entertaining. He muttered a few things, cooked our food and left. I think that the chef can really make or break the experience. They make udon noodles, with mushrooms, squash and onions. Then they work on your meats and they bring you a bowl of white rice and three dipping sauces for the meats. The food was all very good though and our server was very attentive. We probably won't go back, just because I think that we'd rather try new things than return here again.

We loved Ohana's! It might have been the highlight of this trip. It is A LOT of food and it's all very good. We really loved watching Wishes out the window. They pipe in the music (but not the voice, which was a bummer) and it's pretty cool. I would definitely give it a try! Someone else asked me about the menu, so I'll answer them and that will give you more detail as well!

If I didn't give you the specific info you were looking for, please let me know and I can try to give more detail. :)
