We were at Epcot on Tuesday. Did Soarin first (and got FP to come back later). Then went to Mission Space. Ended up at Living Seas around mid morning and the line for Turtle Talk with Crush was out the doors! (you now enter through the exit, right by Crush). We estimated the wait time would be at least 2 hours and a CM working the line confirmed this. He said to try back between 3-7pm because it usually slows down at the end of the day. Went back around 5 and the line was still almost to the gift shop--still about an hour- hour and a half wait. We decided we would just have to skip it this trip.

Soarin and MS were practically walk on when we went back to them, we really didn't even need the FP--Turtle Talk was the ONLY huge line we encountered at any attraction, any park, the entire week (including 3 rides on Everest!)

If you really want to see Crush, I strongly suggest you go early--get FP for Soarin and get to Crush first!

Since the entrance is now at the "exit" I think people walk in, not really sure what to expect and see the line and get in it! I told my group that I would be willing to bet that many of those in line had no idea what they were in line for!

I keep reading where ol' Crush is pulling in the crowds. I remember when we saw it right after it first opened (11/04, I think) and the room was maybe half full. Guess other people have caught on. The secret is out. :sunny:

We've never seen Crush, but they had the precurser to Crush in Disneyland when Dniece was 2.5. The character was Stitch and the child talked to him on the phone. Stitch was on a screen in the little test room. Only one child at a time, and they were having trouble getting kids to come to the attraction. It's amazing what grew out of that small thing in Disneyland Innoventions

Turtle Talk's first show used to be around 10 am.. has this changed? If you FP Soarin and go to Turtle Talk at 9:15 am will Living Seas even be open and will TT be up and running?

When we were there last week, it was the same. Huge line. We tried a couple of different times, but never got to see it. I was very disappointed & I don't even know what it really is (show, ride??).

We've tried three times to see it - May, July & November. Each time the line was so long that we left (we are all teens & adults, no children). I would like to see it once, though.

Yep the secret is out. We used to walk right in and now the lines are CRAZY!!

For the person that asked if it was a show or a ride. It is an Interactive Show with Crush. It really is fun for the child and adults. They get to ask him questions about being a turtle and he gets to ask them about being humans.

:thumbsup2

I was going to take a pic of the line last week. I just couldn't believe it. The park was empty, but the Turtle Talk line was HUGE!

In October, my wife's feet started hurting so bad that we had to rent a wheelchair. I pushed her into the Turtle Talk line, which was so long, we immediately decided not to go to it. However, before we could get out of line, a CM approached us and let us know that we could go right up to the wheelchair entrance. There were only about 2 chairs in front of us. Would it be unethical to rent a wheelchair from EPCOT just to get to cut in the TT line?

Yep, it was pretty crowded! I was surprised. We were there Monday night and saw the 4:20 show. We got in line about 4:10 and did get in the next show but just barely! Wednesday afternoon we had to wait through one and a half shows to get in. My girls loved it, though and my DD (4) had a bathroom break during the show Monday night and we couldn't get back in! So, had to go again!!

We just got back on Friday. We were also not able to do Turtle Talk, it was way too crowded. Didn't it seem like all the parks were really crowded, or was it just me? I thought it was so hard to get around the parks, there were so many people. I didn't expect that this time of year. But the last time we went was 1999, so maybe things have changed since then.

I thought they were going to enlarge the Turtle Talk show theater, but it wasn't any bigger the last time we went. Anyone hear that it is going to be enlarged?

No reason there could not be 2 or 3 theaters with the starting times "staggered" so the line would drop 2 to 3 times faster ("please keep your party together").

I know there is only "ONE" Crush. ;)
But multi-shows could be done so inconspicuously that nobody could TELL there was more than one theater.
The approach to the entrance(s) would be down a "blind hallway".

The Mickey Mouse meet & greet at Toontown Fair is done this way.
Stitch Escapes is done this way.
Soarin', Star Tours, Mission Space, et al, are done this way.

Disney has created a GREAT entertaining Nemo-themed attraction starring Crush that, like all "improv theater," is DIFFERENT every time you see it due to the unpredictable audience interaction.

Epcot just needs to find a way to get more guests into the attraction.

I know Turtle Talk generates long waits but a week and a half ago (when we were at Epcot), we walked right into the empty queue and were the only ones in line for several minutes. The park wasn't empty by any means, but we must have had REALLY good timing because 10 minutes after we had gotten in line, all the switchbacks were full and the line was going back towards the gift shop...weird.

This was the case every day we went, a couple of weeks ago.
Living Seas was open at 9am.
Turtle Talk's first show as at 10am.
Queue for Turtle Talk did not form until about 9:45 or 9:50.
Then it got crowded for the next few shows, for sure.

Yes, if the person doesn't have a need for a wheelchair, it would be.
And, it's no guarantee of a "spot". When we were at the Turtle Talk area last Spring with DD who uses a wheelchair, we decided not to go because DD has problems waiting when she is "crushed" in with the other guests in line (it can get really claustrophobic being in a wheelchair surrounded by people who are like skyscrapers compared to you). We were told there was no quieter palce to wait. For those (few) attractions that do have a wheelchair entrance, it is often because there are limited number of wheelchair spots inside and they need to make sure they don't have more wheelchair users waiting for the show than there are spots.

I am going to assume you are kidding. Because no person in their right mind would think to do that. I would think people would be grateful that they can stand and walk on their own and don't have to rely on a chair to get around like some people do 24/7. If you think I am harsh, go to the disABILITIES Board and ask them.
