To start, we're deluxe snobs and most of our stays have been in the MK resort loop. We had a extra 2 couples going us this trip and got a super deal for a 2 bedroom villa at OKW, so we decided to give it a try. The resort room, or should I say, condo was fablous. Second to none in the ways of space and amenties but..........location wise, not so hot. We had to ride the bus from our area 2 stops to get to the main pool and hospitally area and busing to the parks was really not that bad. Would we stay there again, don't think so, we just felt remote but for peace and solitude, great resort. We're WL lovers and really missed the Lodge and location.

Lets disciss the parks, we were there for the week after Thanksgiving, and the parks were crowded, too much so so the word is our, it wasn't slack time at all. No more early December stays for us. Though we had a grand time, saw what we wanted and did what we planned, just too much mass confusion with too amny others. Cast Members were all great and cheerful. not a disgruntled CM anytime during our trip and housekeeping was fantastic. We weren't on any dining plan, had a few ADR's and basically ate where we wanted and the HDDR ( at least our 15 time) was fantastic as always. Great show and great food and drink.

I only posted this review because of reading so many negative comments is other forums, the magic is still there, attendance down, I don't think so. We used buses only and never had a long wait, either from the resort or parks.

If anyone needs any information on OKW, glad to help out just PM me.

Back to the resort....we were in building 52, 3rd floor and there are no elevators....hauling suitcases, baby needs, stroller and bags and bags of groceries up 36 steps is murder. We were 2 families with alot of stuff and coming and going to the parks each day, tiring. the bus stop, South Pointe, was about 20 yards from the ground floor, quite convenient but the ice machine is also located there. We had a small quiet pool near that location but the main pool was a bus ride or long, long hike. We're not used to that. Pool was alittle on the chilly side for us so long swims were out. And if you had the refillable mugs, just about useless from that location for refills.

We'll stick with the MK resorts from now on and months like September and October.....much better locations and months are more condusive to what we prefer in a trip to Florida. Though we're not fans of GF and the prices of the Poly are not to our liking....WL and CR (gardenwings) are more our style, both have easy walking access to food and drink and pool. We found for a group of 6 adults and 1 infant, the 2 bedroom villas are ideal but we could appreciate 3 separate rooms in WL or CR just as well just for location and amenities.
