We are just back from WDW and the YC!!! Here are some specifics on our transportation experiences:

Delta:
We had the 6:10AM flight out of LaGuardia and arrived at the airport 3:30AM. Definately too early! Curbside nor the ticket counter or ticket kiosks open until 4AM. However, by about 3:45AM, the ticket counter had gathered a line, and representatives started to issue boarding passes. We waited about half an hour, and watched as almost everyone in front of us was pulled out and sent to another room to have all their bags searched. When our turn came, we were asked the usual questions, showed picture ID's and were given our boarding passes. No special trip to have our bags searched. Then on to security with our carry ons. No trouble except that my purse had to be searched. A small bag of jewelry looked suspicious I guess.
Again when boarding, we had to show a picture ID along with our boarding passes. The flight itself only took 1H 55 M, was smooth and we arrived ahead of schedule.

Going home from Orlando, we used curbside checkin and had to wait about 20 minutes. We arrived at 8:25AM for a 9:45AM flight. Again we were asked questions, showed picture ID's, and our bags were loaded. At security, we were wanded and patted, and my DH had to lift his shirt, and loosen his sneakers for inspection. Again at boarding, we needed to show picture ID's, and many people again were pulled out of line for an additional search of their carry ons and shoes. They were very thorough. I wonder if this was because our destination was NYC. The flight was smooth, took 2H 8M, and arrived ahead of schedule.

National Car:
We had reserved a full size car on the Aisle. The majority of the cars available were Mitshubishi Diamonte's, and a few Dodge Intrepids, and Monte Carlo's. We opted for the Intrepid, and were very pleased with the car, except that it smelled of smoke.

***Just make a note not to accept the Fuel Surcharge Option (FSO) when they offer it to you. The representative at the Aisle check-out asked us if we wanted the option of paying $1.40 a gallon for gas when we returned, so we said sure. She never explained that the FSO is a flat charge of $23.80 whether you use a full tank or a gallon! We only used a quarter of a tank of gas. So today I called the Customer Service line at National, and explained that the option was misrepresented. They issued me a refund on my credit card.

All in all a good experience transportation wise.:):D:)
