The resort was pretty full!! We had a great time though.
They took down most of the construction things while we
were there.

After taking down the construction around the martinuqie pool all the pools were open, the main pool was always open never closed. just the acess was not open from one end of the resort, however it is open now.

'I did not care for the style of the food court, you pay at each indiviual stand and it can get quite long waiting in line at peak eating hours. the lines were hard to get around they had no ropes up for crowd control....

the food was good no complaints on that!!

we rented water mice and they were about 20 an hour, we got
a discount w/annual pass though.
all the other boats were rented, but beware there is not much to go around the lake is pretty wimpy....i would rent at downtown disney if i were you....

the maid was great , we tipped her $2 a day and she made all kinds of things with the wash cloths and somehow a bunny made it home in my suitcase!!?? (must have been the kids??)
how much will that cost me!!!

anyway, long enough for now.
MY overvall impression of the CBR was good, it has lots of white sand beaches, and play areas, but the food court is lacking--we toured the riverside and will stay there in june...
i will write then about it.

CHECK OUT THE PHOTOS WE UPLOADED SOME FOR YOU

Hellokitty happy that you had a good time. What area did you stay in, did you like it? How crowded were the parks? Any problems with bus service? Are the pools all open? Did you use the boats at the resorts, any info on costs. Thank you, Judy:sunny:

:smooth:

Help. I'm leaving next Tuesday (from Waukesha. Hi Judy). Are the renovations at the quiet pools all done ? What is the best area ? Did you have to wait long at the rides ? This is my first time there !!! But, not the last ! Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

we were in bldg. 25 it was very close to main food/pool area.
the renovations were done in martinuiqe... but not sure about other areas, i would call and ask...

this area mart. is a great location!! call and request it now as the
resort was very full and they told us they could not have honored
any request the day of check in, I am glad we had requested this
months before..

the crowds at MK were unbelievable, thank goodness for fast
passes USE THEM---
other parks were ok.

good luck and have a great time!!

Do they have a convenience store where I can pick up stuff like ceral, bread, peanut butter, milk...etc?

How would I get to Seaworld without a car?

are you renting a car? there is an albertson's at exit 11 from
the airport ( and a super target) also they sell milk in the gift
shop cheaper than the eating area

i was told you can arrange a shuttle from the resort to sea world
by calling sea world, did not do it though.

Thank you for the report! Glad you had a good time too!

gkad to hear the news hellokitty regarding the CBR.

We are booked for Apr 12-18 for me and my dh, ds 8, and dd 4. I had asked for Martinique 25 weeks ago after reading all the great things that Seaspray had posted (Thanks Seaspray) But then I got nervous when i heard about all the construction. My dh does not receive this type of information very well. Never mentioned it. don't need to now.

I haven't been to Disney in at least 30 years and my dh for at least 20 years and first time for my kids. I am worried regarding the crowds everyone has been mentioning also. My dh does not do well with crowds and lots of waiting. He really is not a bad guy.

i was stressing out trying to cram in every little thing in 7 days but i have decided to take breaks in the afternoon and now that i know the construction will not be unsightly i can relax by the pool. Got the important stuff down i think. Got Cindy on Sat for 9:40. the best i could get, chef mickeys at 8:15 on Sunday and Hoop Dee Doo for Tuesday at 7:15. The rest will be fly by the seat of my pants. We are planning to do one day at SeaWorld. My ds loves mammals.

Please anybody with must do lists or recommendations please please let me know. I want to do everything you guys all mention but i think i would have to live at disney.

Just got back from CBR yesterday (Jamaica 45) and I must tell you to avoid SeaWorld at all costs.

Times are tough on SeaWorld it seems......about half of the restaurants and food stands were closed, causing huge lines at the ones that remained open.

Want to see a shark? You're out of luck because that attraction is closed until summer.

Want to see Shamu up close in the tank? Sorry, it's closed.

Want to take a ride up the spiral viewing pole? See you in the Winter.

Want the kids to enjoy the kiddie park and the water rides there? Sorry......no can do.

Want someone who speaks English to help you in any store or restaurant? No habla Espanol.

I should have realized when I saw signs at the ticket line saying "get a free pass for the rest of the entire 2002 year with the purchase of a ticket today" that something was amiss.

I pity the poor English; it seems that some European booking agency is sending all the Brits there as half the people who didn't speak Spanish spoke the Queen's English.

Save your money and go to Animal Kingdom, Kennedy Space Center, or McDonalds instead.

BJ

Welcome Back!

We stayed at CBR two weeks ago. We had a great time.

The only time I didn't like the food court cashier situation was when I was buying for everyone. If we all went then we each stood in our own different line. But, I do like paying all at once more!

:D
