Just back today from the Poly Concierge!!!

We had an ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS time!!!! We were there for nine days starting on July 4th. We couldnt have asked for a better vacation.

The staff was PHENOMENAL helping us with tons and tons of plans for our vow renewal at Leu Gardens. Everything went so flawlessly that I wasnt even nervous the day of the vow renewal. Everyone we encountered was wonderful, kind, sweet, and caring.

Our room was WONDERFUL and had a good view. It was very well maintained and everything was in working order when we got there. No fridge troubles like what had been reported. No mold or mildew anywhere and the room smelled heavenly every day. I think they spray it with something tropical when they clean it.

Housekeeping was GREAT and had the room done most times by the time we came back for naps in the afternoon.

Turndown service was great and after we told them we liked it done early it was done early every night we were there.

The lounge was fine for us. Yes there were long lines at hordouves (sp) time but we passed the time chatting with other guests. We did not run into rude people at all like has been reported by other people. Most people were just happy go lucky visitors like us. Yes people came up there with no shoes on but I personally do not see what the big deal is about this as their feet are nowhere near the food but thats me. I dont let stuff like that bother me at all. We never once saw anyone up there without a shirt on. Now that would have bothered me a bit. The food was good and plentiful and yes some people used it for dinner but again this does not bother me. There was plenty enough for everyone and was replaced as soon as it ran low. The desserts were scrumptious!!!!! and I enjoyed a coffee with Grand Mariner or Kaluha every night hehehehehe. Nothing like relaxing and watching the fireworks with a nice cup of coffee and dessert

We had such a WONDERFUL time that we are planning another trip for next year!!!! I am writing a letter to the Concierge manager tomorrow to tell him what a wonderful time we had and to compliment several of the staff who went above and beyond for us on this trip.

Welcome home, and thanks for the report on the Poly Conc. Glad your vow renewal went well. I'm happy to hear that those under-paying, rude Fairytale Package guests (hahaha, I'm kidding, we're FTP guests!) aren't making a mess of the concierge lounge!

I'll be there in 11 days, so liked hearing what you had to say. I'm of the same mindset, I don't let too much bug me either.

devine5829 we were in Lagoon View room 1031. It was a pretty good view. We did have a palm tree and some bushes sort of in front of our patio to one side so we always walked out to the beach to watch the fireworks. I loved sitting in the chairs on the beach though so that was no big deal for us. I loved being so close to the elevator. Made getting stuff from the lounge to our room so much easier since we prefered to eat in our room.

The food was very good. They had pulled pork and spring rolls one night, chicken wings another night, chicken and steak kabobs another night, sushi one night...um thats the night we skipped snacking LOL, taco bar with all the fixings one night, grilled chicken and something else one night. We never really ran into a problem with food running out. Might have been the time we went but we actually went at all different times from right as it started to almost when it ended. They did run out of Grand Mariner one night but thats how I discovered Kaluha and coffee hehehehehehehe.

Tikiman (Steve) I dealt with both Marilyn and Tara a LOT on this vacation and they just made everything just so so special for us and were invaluable in setting up all the plans for what we needed to do before our vow renewal and many other things!! Next time you go ask Marilyn to see the Capture the Magic book that she made and there is a picture of us in there from our vow renewal!! She specifically asked for one of the professional photos we had taken for her book. Philip is still there too and just as pleasant and helpful as ever.
