Just Back Today from POR with FD and Love it!!

Hi,

I just got back from a 9 day trip (9-15 thur 9-23) and we stayed at POR in the Mansions and it was so Beautiful. We just loved the Mansions, our family of 3 stayed in Magnolia Terrace Mansion. I was able to Walked over to AB and it looked like a totally different Resort. We prefered the Mansions. Upon arriving We were offered the FD bounceback and before we checked out we took it, we will be going back next Sept. 2008.

We had stayed at CRS last year 2006 and this Year POR and my DH thought we had upgraded to a Deluxe Resort (he could not believe it was a MOD).

Sorry, if I made you worry about AB, It is just my preferance in staying in the Masons. I thought that AB section was very pretty in it's own way. It was very lush in vegitatian and birds, bunnies. There were pleanty of families with 5 staying in that section and they all raved about it. So, I'm sure that if we were assigned to that section to begin with that I would have loved it just as much. But you know how it is whenever you are have a nice stay that you fall in love with the area that you are in. I'm sure you will love it, the whole resort is so comfortable that we started calling it home, because we felt very much at home and cozy.

No problem...it is nice to here feedback. We have never stayed on property and POR was recomended to us. It's good to hear negative and positive!!!

Bounceback Program????

The Bounce Back offer was being offered to some (not all guest because I mentioned it to others in conversation and nobody else recieved a BB Offer) who are there for FD this month. If you will be staying at a WDW Resort for the FD
this month, you may be offered this bounce back offer. Whenever we 1st checked in the CM mentioned it briefly and forgot to put the printed information in our package so I went back to the Registration desk and asked for the information. The BB offer is for next Sept. 2008 to stay at a WDW Mod or Deluxe Resort and FD but you have to put a $200.00 deposit before you check out for your own property stay. The next FD will not include gratuity tips so we will have to have extra for that. Disney seems like they are seeing how many will take the BB to even see if they will offer it to the public. I was surprise that the BB did not include the Value Resorts only Mods and Deluxe Resorts.

I would not switch. The AB area is gorgeous!! We actually prefer. Anyway you have access to the whole resort, you can walk through the mansion area. We had a mansion room and changed to AB so its all good! Lovely resort.

My son and I stayed at POR in August for only one night. We had a room in AB and I thought it was just adorable. The room was cozy and the landscaping made you feel as though you were in a rustic cabin.

I would have liked to stay longer and check out the whole resort. Have fun

Hi, we just got back last night from POR and we stayed in the AB section and we loved it! This was our first trip and it was wonderful. We also booked for next year with the bounceback program. Now we just have to figure out if we should stay at POR again or try another? Any opinions??

For those who like rustic the AB section is perfect for you.
The reason I didn't prefer it is because I have never cared for rustic settings.
I'm so glad that there is something for everyone preference.

We stayed at POR in the Mansions section this April and loved it. The grounds were beautiful, and I loved the boat to DTD. We never had to wait long for a bus, and the room was great. We had a wonderful stay there, and we would definitely go back.
