one in each earlobe for a female is one thing, but 6 on one ear, or piercings on the nose, tong, bottom lip constitutes trash in my opinion.
:sad2:
I can't believe I just read this. Please tell me you are not that closed minded. Please explain to me why you believe this is trashy?
I have none of the above mentioned. But I also do not make judgements about people just by the way they look. I have met and spoken with many who have what you've decribed only to find out they are extremely intelligent and articulate. I have also met some who are not so intelligent. Don't just lump people together.
Have you ever looked at someones tattoos? They are beautiful artwork, they are not cheap and more often than not, have a great story/meaing behind them. How someone desires to express themselves does not make them trash. Take the time to get to know someone before you make a harsh and ignorant statement like that.

And by the way, my DD was newly potty trained and we asked her every 30 mins if she had to use the potty. Well, guess what, she peed on herself in line for the Mad Tea Party. Everyone was gracious and sympathetic. She was crying wth embarrassment. If anyone would have said anything negative to her, they would have had Disneyland Mama in their face. My point, accidents happen. It's not the kids fault or the parents. Pee happens.

Let me start off by saying that I am sorry that that happened to your daughter. And being a mom I feel the same as you, but I don't think anyone was saying that children don't have accidents. Would you have told your daughter to go on a rock or behind a tree?? That's what we were talking about. Certainly kids have accidents....but the OP was stating that she believed the mother was allowing the child to pee on a rock, RIGHT THERE IN A LINE, because she didn't want to get out of line. :sad2:

My blood is boiling so bad right now that I am going to take a good couple of hour break from the DisBoards; lest I be banned for really speaking my mind about sportears. Carry on for now.

Hope your back on DizzKneeGeek.....not everyone feels that way :wave2:

Don't let him get to you. I am 33, DH is 35, we dress like a mom and dad, have 4 kids and great jobs. When we are at Disney, you might see my tattoo of Marvin the Martian on my shoulder (WB...shame on me!) or catch a glimpse of DH's Mickey Mouse tongue ring.

When I first got my tat, I went to a wedding with a friend whose family was pretty well-connected.....lots of judges, politicians....I felt pretty initimidated. My dress was sleeveless and when I was dancing, his uncle the councilman noticed my tattoo. He followed me outside when I went to have a cigarette and proceeded to show me the tattoo of a dragon he had on his upper arm.

The person sportears and his family are looking down on for having tattoos and piercings could someday come back to bite them in the behind!! I also know prominent docs around here who have sleeve tats and just keep them covered at work....would be kind of ironic if he called the person who was going to operate on him trash. :)

If we run into you at WDW, Dizzkneegeek, the only thing we will be doing is trying to see your tats better. My kids will probably annoy you by asking about them all, too!!! :teeth:

As for the OP, we saw heelies EVERYWHERE. But we only smoked in the designated area. We saw one lady smoking out in the middle of the hub at MK.....DH loudly said "Geez what a shame we wasted time going to where you are SUPPOSED to smoke" We just got a dirty look. :confused3

WOW--I am shocked by several things on this thread...shocked at some of the outrageous behavior some have mentioned witnessing, but also shocked by the closed-minded posts.

Dinsey is for EVERYONE, even Walt himself said that! It is not just for preppy-dressed, God-loving, straight, non-tattooed, non-pierced folks.

By the way--I am one of the above (very clean cut and traditional looking, etc.) however I do not for one minute think that everyone at WDW should be just like me.

Certainly, we all have to hope that people obey the rules. Unfortuantely, there will always be a certain percentage of rude behavior. I always try to give the benefit of the doubt. I, too, would be fairly shcoked by the peeing while in line thing (especially since the OP said it was a walk-on with no wait at all and the kid was five, not a potty-training 2 year old)....however, just maybe this kid has a bladder issue and there is no warning and when he has to go, he has to go... The point is, you never know the situation. More likely, yes, it was the parent allowing inappropriate behavior. But the chance exists that there was some other reason, so...

Yes, WDW costs some serious cash (side-bar...if you paid 4K for 4.5 days, you aren't doing your homework...lol...find the discount codes! :goodvibes ), and when anyone pays that kind of money, we want things to go as great as possible. As for us, we just look for the magic and ignore the rest. There is TONS of magic available for all to share...and the great thing is...when you spend your time focusing on the magical things, you don't have time to notice or worry about the less-than-magical things that may be happening around you.

i guess i've got to add my 2 cents. we've been to wdw 8 of the last 9 years and after our last trip, we said we might not ever go back. there were many forgetable moments, but a few that stood out were the 3 kids in their early 20's that were smoking in the boat in front of us on splash mountain. also, i think there was a contest by a large number of the women throughout all of the parks to see who could expose the most amount of skin without being arrested. this exorbitant amount of skin also exposed a tremendous amount of ink and piercings. this is going to sound bad, and i'll probably get crucified over it, but being from out of state and staying on property each year, we spend a tremendous amount of money entertaining our children. one would think that with such cost, much of the trash would be weeded out. i guess, however this assumption does not account for the large number of local one day trippers.

WOW... whatever happened to live and let live???? I am with you on the smoking thing... that's just rude when Disney provides smoking areas, and maybe you have a point with "this exorbitant amount of skin exposed" but who are you to say?? just because someone has ink and piercings (and no, I don't have either) doesn't make them 'trash' as you say.... look inside yourself and find peace from within, so you don't have so spew so much hate outward!

Hey yawl!! The 'Trash Man'(that's my new name) is back!! PrincessFontaine and I took a good long drive and walk and discussed how horrible it must be to be as close minded as sportears is. We came to the conclusion on our drive that we are going to cut him some slack. For the simple reason that he obviously lives a sad little miserable life and his poor children are doomed to repeat the pattern. And you know, that's really sad. These kids are going to go through life thinking that anybody that isn't exactly like them is beneath them. I really and truly feel super sorry for these children. I wish their parents would teach them tolerance. But it looks like the life of sheeple for them.

I refuse to let my blood boil over ignorant comments any longer because I know I'm a good person. I have had very long term employment, own my own house, cars and all of life's other little perks. I work hard for my money...what? you thought I was broke? not! Not rich either...just comfortable. I love my ink and I'm proud of it. My ink is not prison tattoos. They are professional quality that I have thought long and hard on. In fact, I'm so proud my ink and myself that I got this tattoo to remind myself of my philosophy.

It's on the inside of my right wrist and there's an 's' on the other side of the 't'. "No Regrets" I just couldn't get the whole thing in the picture since it wraps around my wrist. It ain't goin' nowhere and that's how I appraoch life!

I think I'm done. Thanx to those of you that stood up for me; though I realize you weren't standing up for me in particular. Just people like me. It made me feel a bit better about the world in which we live. Carry on good people....

Oh yeah..almost forgot. PrincessFontaine has this tattoo on the inside of her left forearm. Notice the 'No Regrets' banner on hers as well. We fly that banner proudly!!

Good post. I leave in a few minutes for the airport. I, for one, am glad not everyone is the same. What a boring world that would be.

Honestly, I'm not trying to argue the point, but until you understand the magnitude of dealing with difficult guests and the sheer size and scope of the park and the problems, it's hard to grasp. When my daughter has someone screaming at her because it's too damn hot and they're tired of waiting in line (like they're somehow entitled to not stand in lines) calling for assistance is futile! They go off on CM's and then carry on with their day. They probably feel better, but they've sucked the magic out of the CM they tore strips off of. Calling for assistance isn't realistic. Gaining a tougher skin is the only way and that's pretty sad.

She witnessed two families who began physically fighting with each other while waiting in line at the Barnstormer! One woman ended up biting the other woman's hand for goodness sake! Can you imagine how many kids witnessed that behaviour?

I don't want to argue either, but, rule breakers do what they do because they are not worried about being confronted by someone when they break the rules. A guest who steps up to the plate and confronts someone would just cause more of a problem. But, a CM (in a uniform) has some implied authority. I would think that they are trained to work with the guest and enforce the rules. If they can't handle it, they should be working behind the scenes, and not out among the public. They are being paid to do a job, it doesn't matter how much. :smokin:

:wave2: So sad to read these postings because these adults will raise the kids like this and a whole new generation continues the traditions of their obnoxious parents.

Excuse me, but public urination is against the law, not WDW law THE law. Even older people that cannot reach the bathroom in time know this....have you ever heard of adult diapers??? Parents that allow this kind of behavior are just teaching them to be rude disgiusting people like themselves. I think a 5 year old child is big enough to hold it in for 20 feet. Sorry but the apple does not fall far from the tree.

Furthmore I think your posts are off topic and boorish. It has nothing to do with disagreeing, it has to do with common decency. Yes, everyone farts, pees, craps, sweats, pukes and clips their toe nails. There is a time and a place for it and it is up to parents to teach their children about decency. I know you're the kind of guy that thinks it's funny to fart in a crowded plane or elevator. The thing that seperates you from others is called class, and you don't have any.

By then time I am 90 I will be far far away from WDW for about 30 years. Most likely Maui. Since my DH and I are already retired at 45, I figure we can stick out another 15 New York winters. I will not be "peeing my pants" (as you so put it) either, but it sounds like you are already, and really don't mind it.

Just a couple things to point out.

You said that when a child is out of diapers their is no excuse for any of this behavior.

I disagree. I have potty trained my son. It is easy for some-not so easy for others. I have said that it should not be cheered or encouraged, and yes I think it is "wrong", but the person walking up on a situation like this does not know all of the facts. 5 I agree should be old enough to avoid this but you don't know this kid's story. A urinary tact infection or some other medical reason could be why this happened. No matter what you think you know about him, you obviously don't know much about kids. Especially being a retired-self employed business owner at 45 living on Long Island(laaaa deeee da), even if you had kids all of these nasty details would surely have been taken care of by your nanny.

You say that I have no class. I say that you have no compassion for children. If it is your class that you think I need-I don't want any. So go ahead and keep boasting-whoops I meant posting about your trips to the GF and update us all on the temperature of the food on the concierge level. I am sure someone is interested, but If you want to insult little kids and judge families don't be surprised when someone calls you on it.

I am sure that you and sportears will have a much better time in anguilla anyway. Please just stay away from all us trash. We will not miss you and niether will Disney.

Disney Dad and proud of it!!!!! :wave2:

Good morning all!! Especially to DizzKneeGeek (aka The 'Trash Man') & PrincessFontaine. I love your last post--you stated it perfectly.

I'm glad to have come back this morning to hear so many have not taken up with being on the dark side of intolerance. Hopefully we can agree to disagree and go from there. Yes some things in the parks irk us and is gross and sometimes against the rules but, hey, that happens where I live too.

Maybe one day we tattooed, pierced, questionable people can have a sit down and a beer at the Rose & Crown and laugh about it.

Have a wonderful day!

I don't think it matters what ya look like, it's the behavior thing that concerns others. :confused3
