I just wanted to make a quick post to thank mom2of2 & rileygirl for their hard work to keep the swap going and make it a success.
When we arrived at CSR on the 16th the stroller was there waiting for us-thanks Hayes family!. While we didn't use it as much as I thought we would since DS is getting older ( 6 1/2 yo but thin as a stick-lol!), it was definitely helpful for those late nights! We left it with the front desk at the BC yesterday for the Lambert family.
The stroller is still in great condition and there are lots of goodies in the huge back that accompanies it. We left behind a LIME GREEN Squeeze Breeze Mister Fan, some Tide laundry detergent tablets, some fabric softener sheets and a little surprise for the next family. I was going to leave behind some suckers--but I found them in my suitcases this morning-sorry!
A couple of things that others might want to know about the stroller--it folds really easily for the buses and the stroller itself has some nice comfy padding. The canopy was undone when we got it from the front desk but it is easily popped back into place. The bag that accompanies the stroller is pretty full so be prepared if you are swapping the stroller with someone at a park or someplace that you will be walking around alot--the bag doesn't fit in the underbasket of the stroller and is not "attached" to the stroller so you would be carrying it around. We found that it worked best to either meet or leave it at the hotel of the next swapper with their name on it.
A couple of suggestions for those who are going down to use it soon--these are things that might be good for the bag--a bungee cord or some type of cord that would attach the supply bag to the stroller for when it is left with baggage services--maybe this would be a good idea?? Also there aren't any markers to make up the scrapbook pages--I wrote mine in pen so if you have any you would want to leave with the stroller that would fun too! There wasn't any green ribbon left so that would be helpful.
There are lots of scrapbook materials, alphabet stickers and other stickers. Lots of McDonalds coupons, character meeting spot sheets, LOTS of lime green mickey heads from Home Depot, about 6 bags of animal crackers, chips, etc... plus what I mentioned that I left. I'm sure I am forgetting something but cannot remember anymore.
ANYWAY--thanks again to all who are doing this, it worked out great.
But mom2of2 you are going flame me--I forgot to take our pic with the stroller with the camera-ugh! I'm checking my digital pics right now though & hoping there is at least one in there!
