Don't feel like doing the short-story essay on the Review Forum (lol), so here are some cliff notes of our trip:
Chef Mickeys: Haven't been there in a couple years for dinner, so this was our first time back. Contrary to most reports you'll read on here, this might have been our favorite meal of the entire trip! They seemed to have changed the menu the last couple years, and I loved it. I literally can't name one bad food that we tried on the buffet...they were all great. Cost (even with TIW) was high, but I honestly thought it was worth it for the food and atmosphere. Definite must do on future trips.
Plaza: Good sandwich food...nothing special, but nothing bad either. Decent meal for a good price, will most likely visit again for a less-expensive meal night.
Tutto: Usually one of our favorites, but was a little down this year. Food was good--not great--so I attribute that to maybe just a down night. Will go back in the future again for sure.
Via Napoli: Not sure what to think of this place......been 2 other times, and the service was terrible--but the food was great. This time we waited 50 minutes for our food, and even then it came out in stages (one persons meal, but not the others). What I will say is their food is EXCELLENT--best Eggplant Parm I've had. Will decide in the future if the horrendous service is worth the food or not.
Nine Dragons: Again, going against the grain on here--but we LOVED this place. Canton Beef is amazing, and the service is excellent. Not a 'drinker' by any means, but that Shangri-Lai drink is delicious. Definitely going back.
Il Mulino: Horrible food, very average service. The sauce was basic run-of-the-mill marinara, with no real flavor--especially what is considered to be a 4-star Italian place. Gnocci's were soft and mushy, and came out cold. Waiter always trying to up-sell us---and didn't bother to tell us the salad he offered with my wife's entree came with a $12 extra tab, lol. Never again.
Beaches-N-Cream: Excellent food and atmosphere, and great service. My favorite Reuben--and my kids favorite milkshakes. Will be going back for sure.
Trattoria Del Forno: Continuing with our 'Italian Food Vacation', lol, we made a ressie here too. Excellent service, and my favorite was the meat appetizer. Good (not great) food, but overall experience was worth it. Will most likely visit again.
Be Our Guest: Atmosphere is amazing, and worth it alone. Sadly, I am on the bandwagon that Lunch is way better than dinner---not to mention alot cheaper!!! Glad to have eaten dinner at least once, but will probably just stick with trying to get a lunch ADR from now on.
The Wave: Since we were staying at BLT I figured we'd try here. Decent food, but a little high on the price. Service was very friendly, but slow. Doubt we will visit again.
Yak-N-Yeti: A staple for us every year we visit the AK, and it didn't disappoint again. Excellent food and service!
