Don't feel like doing the short-story essay on the Review Forum (lol), so here are some cliff notes of our trip:

Chef Mickeys: Haven't been there in a couple years for dinner, so this was our first time back. Contrary to most reports you'll read on here, this might have been our favorite meal of the entire trip! They seemed to have changed the menu the last couple years, and I loved it. I literally can't name one bad food that we tried on the buffet...they were all great. Cost (even with TIW) was high, but I honestly thought it was worth it for the food and atmosphere. Definite must do on future trips.

Plaza: Good sandwich food...nothing special, but nothing bad either. Decent meal for a good price, will most likely visit again for a less-expensive meal night.

Tutto: Usually one of our favorites, but was a little down this year. Food was good--not great--so I attribute that to maybe just a down night. Will go back in the future again for sure.

Via Napoli: Not sure what to think of this place......been 2 other times, and the service was terrible--but the food was great. This time we waited 50 minutes for our food, and even then it came out in stages (one persons meal, but not the others). What I will say is their food is EXCELLENT--best Eggplant Parm I've had. Will decide in the future if the horrendous service is worth the food or not.

Nine Dragons: Again, going against the grain on here--but we LOVED this place. Canton Beef is amazing, and the service is excellent. Not a 'drinker' by any means, but that Shangri-Lai drink is delicious. Definitely going back.

Il Mulino: Horrible food, very average service. The sauce was basic run-of-the-mill marinara, with no real flavor--especially what is considered to be a 4-star Italian place. Gnocci's were soft and mushy, and came out cold. Waiter always trying to up-sell us---and didn't bother to tell us the salad he offered with my wife's entree came with a $12 extra tab, lol. Never again.

Beaches-N-Cream: Excellent food and atmosphere, and great service. My favorite Reuben--and my kids favorite milkshakes. Will be going back for sure.

Trattoria Del Forno: Continuing with our 'Italian Food Vacation', lol, we made a ressie here too. Excellent service, and my favorite was the meat appetizer. Good (not great) food, but overall experience was worth it. Will most likely visit again.

Be Our Guest: Atmosphere is amazing, and worth it alone. Sadly, I am on the bandwagon that Lunch is way better than dinner---not to mention alot cheaper!!! Glad to have eaten dinner at least once, but will probably just stick with trying to get a lunch ADR from now on.

The Wave: Since we were staying at BLT I figured we'd try here. Decent food, but a little high on the price. Service was very friendly, but slow. Doubt we will visit again.

Yak-N-Yeti: A staple for us every year we visit the AK, and it didn't disappoint again. Excellent food and service!

Thanks for the reviews. We always enjoy Chef Mickey's and will be going in January. Glad to hear you enjoyed it.

I'm very glad to hear a positive review on Chef Mickeys as well. We have an ADR for the first meal when we arrive, thinking it would be a good kick off to our week at Disney. I was second guessing my reservation and waiting to cancel for a Minnie's beach bash at Cap May later in the week. But I'm glad to hear that CM was great!!! Thanks for the reviews!

I hear you, we go every year to CM and I'm STILL second guessing it after reading all the bad reviews. Then again they've been there for years as well as for H&V and we've never had a horrible experience at either. We start every trip at CM, don't worry, it will be great.

Despite the lack of essay form :-) thanks for the good quick reviews! Couldn't have agreed more on BoG with lunch being better and while we haven't had service issues at via Napoli, that food is amazing

Thanks for the reviews! I also second guessed our opening night ADR at CM, even though my family has always enjoyed dinenr there. We were NOT disappointed and I also was glad we kept it. The little girls who were with us were tossed right into a Disney Mood!

I also agree that lunch is our favorite option at BOG, yet I continue to stalk the website for a dinner ADR for our upcoming trip in December. My DDIL has onky had breakfast there and I think she will enjoy the atmoshere inteh evening. Silly Me!

I was sorry to see that Il Mulino was not good. I send folks there because my experience has been positive, btu now I wonder....

Thanks for the reviews, and we agree on Chef Mickey's the food has been great the last two years we have been there and it's our 7 yo's "must do" atmosphere is awesome as well - planning again for this May too.

Reading the comments, and I can't believe how many of you also 'start' your trip at CM.....that used to be our tradition until a couple years ago, and we just started back this year again. NOTHING like being at CM and that atmosphere to tell you that you are now on vacation!

Nice review and your babies are cute:butterfly:butterfly

Thank you! They look like their dad, lol.

Love these reviews! We have never done Chef Mickey's and we have an ADR for February. I kept going back and forth. We are totally keeping it now! Thank you!! :)

Thanks for the reviews. My husband loves Italian and, other than Via Napoli, I was wondering if I should try one of the others.

Yes, thank you for the review and would love to hear more about Chef Mickey's. We have been debating canceling.

Hi! Can you tell me more about the new menu at Chef Mickey's?

Off the top of my head, they had these excellent short ribs that were unbelievably good, the prime rib just seemed better than it was a couple years ago, the usual (excellent) mashed potatoes, and they had some type of pasta with a lobster sauce which was excellent. Even the baked chicken tasted great, as it seemed to be seasoned different that our previous trips. Very very pleased with our meal there.

I'd say definitely try Tutto and/or Trattoria......Tutto has always been one of our favorites, and Trattoria I think you have to try at least once. I would NOT recommend Il Mulino though. Of the two (Tutto and Trattoria), I prefer Tutto in both menu, and food.
