Just back from a fabulous 10-day WDW vacation! Ate mostly counter service because we dont like to take too much time at our meals
.gotta go, go, go!
MK:
Cosmic Rays burgers always great. Love the grilled chicken sandwich. I always ordered a combo meal (sandwich and fries) for DD-13, then I would only order myself a sandwich ala carte. We would share the fries from her combo. Saved a little $$ and didnt waste any food. DS ordered the steak sub which was good-sized and tasty lots of melted cheese. Also, gotta love that toppings bar!
Pecos Bills Hot food, reasonable prices (relative to WDW), fresh burgers. They have a wonderful chicken wrap which was more than enough for two to share. DS got the ¼ pound hot dog ..tasty and huge!
Animal Kingdom:
Chakranadi Chicken Shop in Asia. Got potstickers for a snack. I liked these alot! They are tasty and are served in a bowl with a spicy broth .potsticker soup! The broth also has chunks of celery, bok choy and onion. Very good.
Pizzafari. Not my choice to eat here, but the kids were hungry and wanted pizza. There are several different rooms to sit in and each one is very colorfully painted and decorated. The pizzas were just ok. The kids liked them enough. I got a grilled chicken ceasar salad. Pretty tasteless actually. Not the best meal of the trip.
Epcot:
Tangerine Café: Ordered a chicken sandwich (Shawarma Sandwiches) which I had gotten in the past and loved. Previously, it was a whole piece of chicken with hummus, purple onion, and some sort of sauce served on a crusty roll. This time it was more of a chopped chicken salad with the toppings and roll. Not as good in my opinion.
Lotus Blossom Café: No worse than the take out Chinese from home. Ordered Orange Chicken and rice which also came with an egg roll, and fried rice with beef. Large portions which we could have easily shared and it really was pretty good.
Yorkshire County Fish Shop: YUMMY! Fish and chips were fresh, piping hot, and sooooo good!! Sprinkle a little malted vinegar on the fish and eat it up! The lines were pretty long in the evening, especially as it got closer to Illuminations. And I still cant believe DH paid almost $7 for a Guinness!
Electric Umbrella Again, not my choice, but we were with friends who insisted we eat here because their kids were too finicky to eat anywhere else. Typical burgers and chicken sandwiches and fries. Food was hot and portions good-sized, but just the usual as far as taste goes. Also has the toppings bars.
I'll post more later and I'm happy to answer any questions!
