I just returned yesterday from a quick weekend trip to celebrate my daughter's fourth birthday-( we are Florida residents so the trip is not bad at all for us)
We got to the Port Orleans Riverside at 1:30-- no line at registration and our room was READY! The CM asked me who my daughter's favorite character is---and I told her Cinderella--
We unpacked ( me, 33 my sister, 35 and my daughter) and went to the quiet pool near us. We stayed in the Acadian house 8054. I thought at first that we were SO far back and far away-- BUT I was wrong. We were 2 minutes from a quiet pool, four minutes from Ole Man River pool and 5 minutes from the Food court area. We were on the back of the Acadian House-- the parking lot was on the opposite side-- so we had a view of the gardens-- allI asked for was a standard view so maybe this was an upgrade?? not sure--
after the swim we got back and changed and had a knock on the door-- a special delivery for my daughter.... a precious card and photo of Cinderella in front of the Castle--- signed with a sweet personalized note for my daughter-- she LOVED it!
We visited the gift shop and the River Roost whish is a MUST DO and MUST see!! The grounds are gorgeous and were filled with blooming azaleas and magnolians. The rooms were in GREAT condition and mousekeeping was SUPER!
PLease ask any questions---- I am posting a food review on the restaurant board today as well.
TIPS:
Get a character breakfast scheduled in the park. You get in the park before it opens-- if you drive you park right in FRONT of the transportation center-- and you WALK on SO many rides---
I will post more about the park on the Parks Baord today too!
We had a magical birthday experience and LOVED every second!
