Just Back: Report on TMA/Sanford/HappyLimo

We just got back from 11 days at WDW and I wanted to give you the scoop on our transportation:

Airline/Airport: TMA and the Rockford IL/Sanford airports were outstanding. Honestly, I will use the Rockford over OHare any day if I can. Right now their destinations are limited to San Juan, Orlando, and Las Vegas. Free parking. 5 minute security check. no traffic. 1 flight unloading at any time so NO luggage hassles....I could go on.
Seriously: any of you western suburb Dissers, you've got to try this out. You won't regret it.
TMA was prompt, offered good breakfast and sandwich dinner meals, luggage loaded and unloaded in record time. Planes were clean, cool.

Sanford: what a hidden gem this is! Exactly 1 hour from the All Star Resorts by limo. all ticket counters were open to service the 3 flights heading out in the same time frame we were. personal service as in the customer service agents spoke to you, kidded a bit, answered any questions. not once did I feel like a body as we usually do at OHare. small shops in the concourse but they had such a variety of items that you could shop for anything you'd need, get a freshly grilled hamburger while you waited (my DS thought it was the best burger he had all trip!!).

All in all, our best transportation experiences (and we've done 'em all!!)

Any review on Happy Limo?

oopps, sorry I missed this in my original thread. Happy Limo was a good experience. We were picked up at exactly the pre-arranged time by each driver. Tip was included and there was no "begging" by the driver for more. Both drivers were very respectful and put all of the luggage in the trunk without being prompted.
It was a blast for my DS-16 and DD-14. Sodas were supplied and they drank out of champagne glasses. We didn't order any of the extras but I'm sure they would've been fine if that's what you wanted. My DS and DD stretched out on the way out of WDW and slept soundly for an hour. DH and I agreed it was the way to go! And you should've seen the looks we got when we arrived and departed....all in all, worth the $156 each way. We will do Happy Limo again next trip.

Did you have an 8 passenger stretch? Was the car clean - AC working etc? Thanks for the review.

mom rules: yes and yes to your questions. We only needed 4 but I'd question the number of seat belts available to make sure it would take 8 safely.
The AC worked well. Both vehicles were spotless, and I mean spotless ! Only tiny thumbs down we had was we thought our returning limo smelled a bit like stale smoke, although it did have a "thank you for not smoking" sign clearly visable. I do think someone snuck one at some point.

Sorry - my daughter was messing around and I guess I didn't realize that she left the caps lock on!
