just back,question about marrakesh on ddp

Hi all! Just returned from WDW! I have been wondering 2 things about Rest Marrakesh on the DDP.1-kids meals no app or dessert? 2-no dessert choice for adults-only brought out "sampler" of Baklava.

We ate there last week while at wdw. We didn't have young children with us, just myself, dd15, and SO. We were on the ddp and were given a dessert menu. It had several choices on it. I did order the Moroccan Symphony, which was an assortment of baklava type desserts. SO ordered the same thing, dd ordered the Marrakesh Delight.

I do have to say that our service at this restaurant was horrible. We sat for approximately 15 minutes before the waiter ever came over. His service was slow and lacking the entire night.

SO ordered some sort of coffee that was not offered on the dining plan, so we paid for it out of pocket. I noticed after we paid for it that there was an 18% tip added to coffee!! We would have tipped, but would rather have had our choice how much to tip the waiter for the coffee.. he was already getting an undeserved 18% for the meal(undeserved for his bad service!), why feel the need to add 18% to the cup of coffee?
