We came back late Tuesday night from an amazing stay at the Poly. Dh ran the marathon and picked the Poly so he could monorail it to the start. I had wanted to stay here since I was little. It was going to be a nice splurge. We have stayed at AKL and WL and loved those resorts as well.
Well, we got to the resort via ME and I went to the checkin desk (no line) and gave them my name and info. I had booked a GV room but before she told me what building I asked if my sister was going to be close to me. She said yes in the next room. Then she said you can go to building five and they will check you in there. It is much nicer. I kind stood there thinking what is building five? Then it hits me and I say what is the name of the building and she says Hawaii!! I turned to my Dh and tried not to squeal! Both rooms had been upgraded to concierge!!
Well we walked over to Hawaii kind of stunned and we checked in. Let me say it took about two seconds to get use to concierge! My twins and niece loved running in and out of there getting snacks. The juice was fabulous and it was great to have fresh fruit and veggies. I think if I were to choose concierge or dining plan I would pick concierge simply because it worked out so well. We had the dining plan also and ended up cancelling a couple of dinners since we weren't too hungry.
I can't say a single thing was not pleasant at the Poly or the trip. We ventured to Capt. Cooks twice once for dinner and once for Tonga Toast. It wasn't confusing or crowded either time.
We took the bus to DHS and we saw one drive away while we were walking to the stop and within 5 minutes another one came and took us straight there. We walked to the TTC to catch the AKL bus. It was fine as well. I wouldn't hesitate to wait at the Poly bus stop.
If you have any questions I be happy to answer if I can.
