We just got back late friday and don't you know that I got VERY sick on Saturday (I personally think I my body is rejecting the Ohio snow and the thought of going back to work) But I do feel somewhat better today so I will start with a few of our meal reviews and go from there.
Cast: Myself (turned 40 on the trip), Dh (Tom) 34 , and son (Alex) 12.
Espn- We ate here while waiting for a room to be ready. Always one of our favorites. We ordered the overtime fries and a bucket of wings. Way to many wings for us! Food and service was good as usual. Alex enjoyed playing playstation while we waited for the food.
Shula's- We ate here on Thanksgiving. Alex and I each had the Kansas City Strip steak, I had the twice baked potato and Alex had the baked potato. Tom had the 48 oz. Porterhouse and the baked potato, finished it all with no problem. Everyone enjoyed in their meal, the food was good and the service was great. There were at least a half dozen kids that were constantly running throughout the restaurant and touching everything in sight, not sure what that was about? Though we enjoyed dinner, not sure that we would go back with so many other places to choose from.
Boma- We have now moved from the Swan to AKL. We all enjoyed the food here (even Alex and he is umm on the picky side). The desserts were awesome, like everyone else we liked the zebra domes, but loved the upside down pineapple cheese cakes and the chocolate mousse things!!! We didn't find a dessert here that we didn't like. If (I should say when) we stay at AKL again we will definately eat here again, but probably wouldn't make a special trip. By the way the service was terrific!
'Ohana- We were fourtunate enough to get a window seat for Wishes and I am sorry to say that it all went downhill from there. Our cousins were next to non-existant. It took a long time for everything, we were certainly never rushed, I think they forgot about us back in the corner. When they did finally bring any meat to our table, the waiter actually said, I have 2 pieces of turkey and 1 piece of steak, who wants what? Then on the next trip he would have 2 shrimp and 1 piece of pork. We were given the bill, and I had to ask about the pineapple and dipping sauce. The waitress said she didn't realize that we wanted it. I told her that we were all pretty full from the 1.5 pieces of meat that we ate but that we would give it a shot. I didn't really say that, but I wanted to. Never did receive the nice warm cloths that everyone else around us did, but we just licked our hands clean as we were still hungry! LOL The food that we did have were great and the Lapu Lapu helped the situation. We will be staying at the Poly on our next trip so we will probably try it again, and will just have to be more insistant on better service. I do believe that I met our waiteress's real cousin working at the Rainforest Cafe at DTD. More on that later.

, so I'm chalking my problem up to overindulgence rather than bad food!
