This is now one of our favorite memories of WDW.

We took our DD and our DGD to WDW with us. DGD is 11 months old and had not really started walking yet. She would walk around while holding someone's finger but hadn't gotten the nerve to let go yet. We were waiting in the Throne room at Cinderella's Castle for Dinner our first night there, and my DD was holding my DGD hand...Cinderella walked in and sat on her "Throne" my DGD took one look at her and let go of mom's hand and walked 15-20' across the room with her arms outstretched to Cinderella. My DD yelled at us across the room, "She's Walking, She's Walking". Everyone in the room was cheering her on as she toddled towards Cinderella. Cinderella kneeled down on the floor and held out her arms, and caught her in a great big hug.....needless to say...Grandma couldn't stop the tears... DD was crying and laughing everyone was clapping. It was a moment I will never forget. Not many people can say they started to walk in Cinderella's Castle. It is story I'm sure my DGD will hear forever. With pictures and video to prove it!

I'm with everyone else, please post a picture. What an absolutely awesome story!!

I don't think I will be able to top that one.:D

I am glad you have such a special memory that will be held dear for years to come.

Ahhh! What a wonderful memory!

That is a beautiful memory!!!!
Thanks for sharing it with us

I teared up too! What a beautiful story! Please post a photo. If you don't know how, go over to the Tech Board and they'll tell ya.

My DGD walked for the first time to this friend of mine named Stanley who, umm, drinks a bit. Stanley always likes to tell that he taught her how to walk, and we always come back with "Yeah, that's why she staggered so bad when she first started."LOL:eek:

Sounds like a commercial!!!! How wonderful that you caught in on film!

First, you need to post teh photo on a website. If you can do that, then you just type the following in your post where you want the phototo show up.

Can't wait to see it!

What a wonderful story! It brought tears to my eyes!!

Thanks for sharing that with us. ::yes::

O.k. So, I tried to help. Unfortuantely, the board though I was trying to post a photo.

Let's try again. After uploading your photo to a website, insert the following into your post (minus the quotes):

"["img"]http://www.insertwebaddress"["/img"]"

Using the preview reply would have been a good thing the first time. You win some, you lose some.

Awwww, what a wonderful moment! Can't wait to see the pictures!!princess:
